Hi all new to the forums and androids. Just realized my htc one v wasn't working correctly with my 2012 VW Jetta. I can receive calls but I cant hear the person on the other end but they can hear me. Htc told me to check VWs compatibility list and my phone wasn't on it. Does this mean I have to get a compatible phone? Or is there known workaround or software update that makes my phone and car compatible. I really am digging my phone and I don't want to replace it. I just have a hard time believing a pretty popular phone not to mention car cant get along.

the phone is kinda low-end, I can see why VW didn't waste time making them work together...
Unless you can find anything on the internet (google), i would find a phone that works.

...that is, IF it really matters.
if you don't use BT too much, just keep your phone. or maybe get an earpiece.
but if you plan to use it all day, every day; grab a (more) popular phone. or maybe a slightly older one - one that has already been proven to work.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the HTC one V doesn't work that well with the 2012 Jetta TDI with the base stereo. I ended up getting a Samsung Galaxie Reverb and it works just swell.
