This phone is too nice to cover up in an ugly case and htc have got it just right with this case. Most people won't even notice it is in a case , it is almost like the casemate barely there but a lot sleeker
had somehting very similar for my desire hd sinse it came out so I figured going for the same again can't hurt. Plus its cheap so no great loss if it isn't great and It will keep my phone safe until I find something better if it comes to it.
Really not a fan of the cases the actually stick on the phone, ruins the feel too much for me.

This case and others are on the official HTC Shop site, which is linked with Expansys (which is where I ordered it from because I have an account with them). There is a Purple case but I don't think it's a holey one.
Got hold of my HTC clear HC700 case. Hmm, mixed feelings about it really.
It is very thin, and as such adds little bulk to the phone. It is miniscule to say the least, and as such, way over priced for what you actually get. Worth about £10 at a push, and is so slippy that I actually am more worried about dropping it now than before. It does little but stop the back getting damaged, which will be tough anyway. Not enough edge to the case to stop any real damage from dropping on a floor.
It's a nice product, but wait until everywhere has them, rather than paying a premium for not waiting for stock elsewhere.

I thought the official one wasn't released until the 24th, but obviously not according to the above. I'm happy with the one I linked to for now, if the official one isn't great, I'll hold off, see if Otterbox release something.
The cases were released, but through Expansys here in the UK. They were gone pretty quick though, so I ordered before I got the phone.
The one you linked fits in pretty much the same way as the HTC one. The difference may be that the HTC ones are so thin, as they may possibly work in docks without removal of the cover. It's stiff, but very thin, and covers the edges about the same amount as the one you recommend

I had a Piel Frama leather case for my Desire HD. Best and well made case I have ever had for my HTC.
Bit expensive but worth it.
Now, there isn't one yet for the ONE X but they have advised that it is imminent as they need to get hold of a model to let their designers get to work. They will email me one it is ready for marketing.
has anyone seen any good rugged cases for the one x yet, I do love the perforated cases but am quite keen for something a little bulkier, used to have a really nice one for my old Desire, and even when you stuck it face down the screen was nicely protected.
Probably going to get shot down for asking to clad my nice new one x in a big chunky case but worth an ask as I can't find much yet
I've been using the TPU cases from ebay and Amazon on all my phones lately. They don't add much bulk but they tend to wrap around the front a bit more than regular silicone cases so I have high hopes for the one I ordered for my One X. My kids routinely dropped all our phones and we have never had one break even after falling screen down on concrete steps.
well tbh up till today there still isnt much case choices available for ONE X.
Since i got the phone 2 weeks ago, i've been wanting to put a case and screen protector so i've taken the plunge and ordered myself these first:
Just arrived yesterday and fits nicely, doesnt add any bulky-ness to the phone as wanted, comes with screen film as well (thought the dimension of the film just fit above the 'htc' word on the top and just covers under the button icons on the bottom side).
its almost 100% identical feeling to the SGP cases for iphone, glossy hard shell.
Note that the current screen protector does not fit the HTC ONE X 100%.
The ones i got is a rectangular film with rounded edge, which fits within the screen. but leaves an acceptable 1mm to the left and right side, but an obvious gap for the top and bottom at a 2.5mm gap.
I received some details from a seller about this:
Just a kind reminder: It has been confirmed by manufacturers and mobile users. Due to the convex design of the outer of the display, there will be no screen protector (including the official ones) out in the market that will fit the screen perfectly. Thus, our screen protectors are designed smaller than the screen to avoid the sides not sticking well.
If you are looking for 100% perfect fit and high quality, I'd say give it another 1-2 month, as the market matures, hopefully those screen protectors will release as well. However this is only our prediction and is not a confirmation
Also, We currently have 3 different screen protectors on hand from 3 different manufacturing companies
They are as follow:
-11.7 x 6.25cm
-12.05cm x 6.10cm

I'm with El Presidente on the case front, a mate at work bought one of the rubberised Qubits ones from Amazon, and i must say they are very nice, adds very little to the bulk if the phone, keeps the screen of the surface it is laid on, camera lens is also protected from touching .
This is a great case. Tight fit, so no loose straggly bits, covers the phone well, but does add a bit of bulk and weight. I like the colour and the style. The glossy finish actually gives it better grip than the naked phone, somethng that was a nice surprise as I was definitely a bit worried about dropping the One X. This fully covers the top and bottom of the case, which means the power button is covered. However, I actually find it easier to turn the phone on and off with this case on than I do without the case on. Opinions on that will differ I'm sure! Volume rockers also covered, but again, easy to still turn up and down. Camera lens is protected by the case when placing the phone down on a flat surface.
Overall a great case for the ridiculously low price. Delivered very quickly too.
Liking this case too. Different from the TPU one as it just covers the back and sides leaving the top and bottom of the phone open. It also has holes for the volume rocker and USB port. Best thing about this is its slim profile. It certanly adds less bulk than the other case and allows the phone to maintain its slimness. The feel of the materials used are similar to the finish of the actual One X, a slightly rubberised feeling. One big downfall of this case is how it picks up finger marks and grease, making it look quite unattractive I have to say. Camera lens is also protected by the case when placing the phone down on a flat surface, although not as much as with the red case, although that could just be my perception of it.
Another great case that maintains the slimness of the phone. Cost me a little bit more, but still far from expensive.
At the moment I am sticking with the slimmer black case, but its nice to have an alternative for both style and practical reasons.
Try this one, eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace which for £2.99 you can't go wrong! I've got this model, and it fits fine, doesn't make the phone bulky and will do the job for now... I went through three different cases on my Desire til I found the right one for me. Plus this comes with a screen protector
Two of my mates ordered it and from first hand experience for £2.99 its an absolute bargain, the sides heve diamond cuts which make them abrasive meaning there is no chance of the phone slipping from you grasp.
I spent £2.00 on my gel case for my old HTC desire and it served me well so cant wait for my new case arriving tomorrow as I feel slightly uncomfortable having my phone in the nude so to speak.

omg, for £3? bargain as it comes with a screen protector and sock too! lol
case, does what it says on the time and pretty generic, but it fits well which was essential. defo protects the camera. grips on the sides help with hold and it protects the top and bottom lips of the phone unlike some of the other hard cases.
Looks ok if you don't mind the added bulk (although I'll see how bulky it makes it) and can stomach the price compared to the other cheaper cases mentioned here.
Arrived yesterday morning. It's a very tight fit, but the phone is completely covered and it adds very little to the overall size of the phone. If you've used an Otterbox Commuter case before (on any phone), that's roughly what it's like. It also creates a good 2mm rubber lip around the edge of the phone so if you drop it face down, there's minimal chance of the screen damaging. I'm not going to test though.
I ordered the HC C704 case grey with holes from expansys on the 22nd of April , still waiting on it. Cost me 20 euro. Delivery is very slow. Seems like HTC are slow to ship them and I feel like the phone is too exposed to damage without it.
I've had the HC V701 HTC One X Clear Hard Shell with White Flip HC V701 - The Official HTC Accessory Store - United Kingdom
Described on the HTC website "The HC V701 shell snaps onto the back of your One X and is made from a tough polycarbonate which protects the back of your One X from accidental bumps, scrapes and drops.
HC V701 features a white flip on the back of hard shell, it can be folded on the back and to be used as a stand, so you can watch videos or other media comfortably."
It's a nice case and i like being able to use it as a stand but i wish i could get it in black as after a week my jeans are staining it, and i don't even have it in my jeans much.
Official one is great, and I use it for non work applications.
However, they seem a bit pointless, as they cover only the virtually indestructable back cover and just really dress the phone.
Amazon hard rubber one is my favourite so far. Thats my work one.
The HTC One X is the first quad-core Android smartphone, not only by HTC but from any manufacturer. It'll have a Tegra 3 chipset inside by NVIDIA alongside 1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel HD camera with flash, front-facing camera, a 4.7 inch 720p di... Read More
