Question Battery Use - Mediaserver

so, ive had a gander at some of the related threads, and im still on the 1.26 build, have any of you guys noticed that the Mediaserver process always sits around 2nd place using between 10%-15%. Has this improved in the new 1.28/1.29 build?

If not, has anyone done that .nomedia file on strategic directories to reduce its use?

Thanks in advance all

I've noticed I usually see Mediaserver in battery usage stats only when I listen to music a lot using PowerAMP. So maybe it represents audio engine/process? I have beats set to Off.

ah ha, i do listen to alot of stuff from deezer, but i would have though it would be the deezer process utilising more of the percentage than the mediaserver?

never tried it with the beats off....will give it a go and see what the batt is like with it off
