Talking Just ordered a HTC One X in grey! :)

So after a year of my Galaxy S2 I thought i'd wait for the Galaxy S3 before buying a new phone but after seeing the Galaxy S3 i'm not sold and have just ordered a SIM free HTC One X... I had a HTC before my Galaxy S2 and to be honest I prefer them, I am sick of Samsung... The S3 doesn't look that great IMO, there are loads of silly pointless features, I am sick to death of TouchWiz (Which is why i'm now running Vanilla on my S2) but the S3 will have TW out the box and as for Sense I actually like it... Plus the build quality is terrible on Samsungs, all plastic, whereas the HTC One X is probably the best well made phone I have ever seen. Finally it has a PenTile screen which has killed it for me as I can't stand PenTile!

So have chosen the One X, has Sense which I don't mind, no PenTile, lovely polycarbonate solid build quality and I can get it right away.

So just here to introduce myself really,

I just made the decision to ditch my Rezound for an HTC One X. I like my Rezound but the One X addresses all my gripes with it: better battery life, larger screen, lighter, better styling and Beats Audio works with everything, not just google music.

A salesman at a nearby AT &T store was nice enough to set a white one aside for me for first thing tomorrow. I can't wait!

I'm looking forward to hearing how you like yours ajh94!

I have had mine since Friday and I am super impressed, camera is great, phone looks great and runs great, also screen is by far best I have seen on a phone to date. I have owned the GSM Galaxy Nexus, and Galaxy Note and this is nicer to me. I don't particularly care for Sense but I am going to run it for a week or two and give it a fair shot, then I will probably download nova or apex.

I actually just traded my Note for another One X in white for my wife. She has had her SG2 since July and she liked it, she isn't a big phone person. But she has been playing with my phone this weekend and she wanted one, she likes white phones and she liked the screen. So luckily someone on Craigslist was willing to use their upgrade for the One X and trade it for my note. Now we both have new phones.

Oh and I forgot to mention battery life on this is one of the best I have owned on a smartphone.

Here is a pretty normal use for me, I would say I use it moderately.

I have been waiting for this phone to come out since March when I put a pre-order in for one at Best Buy.

I went to BB yesterday morning to pick up my phone and they said they never got a shipment of them. Pttooey on them! Ran over to my local AT&T store and they had quite a few in stock still.

I mulled over the white and grey versions and actually liked the grey one better. Plus, my current phone is the Skyrocket in white so I was over it already.

Tried to do an early upgrade and they wanted $199+$250!!! I was like WTF>? So then I called Amazon Wireless to see if I could get the phone and they said they had no stock(because AT&T stores got them all first) and I would have to wait at least 9 business days!!!

Back to the AT&T store and I bought the phone outright. Ill use my upgrade in July for whatever.

The phone is AWESOME!!! It does everything Ive wanted a phone to do in a long time. The screen is to die for, it fits comfortably in the hand and its SO fast.

I actually dont mind the sense as it does a lot of the things my launchers would do anyway, so one less thing to download.

To the OP, youre going to love this phone!!! Enjoy!

Default White vs Grey

I'm in South Africa and the HTC One X is now available, but only in Grey would you believe.
I had my heart set on a White version, so I saw HTC SA today and managed to look at both options in the flesh.
I have had an HTC HD2 running Androd for 2 and a hlaf years waiting for a better replacement, the HTC One X finally provides that.

One of the guys at HTC SA had a Grey version, but after a few weeks it looked very much worn at the back. He did mention he keeps a couple of phones in his pocket, and that was the reason.

So, I have a choice of Grey or Grey

It's a stunning phone and can't wait to pick it up, prob tomorrow.

By the way I have created some Analog Clocks if anyone is interested.

They can be found here:-

[THEMES] UCCW - Ultimate custom clock - Analog Watch Skins Only - xda-developers

And I agree with the OP, HTC is streets ahead of anything Samsung is doing right now. So very wise choice

Generally I remove everything from the phone and Theme it up completely with my own designs.

Here is an awesome link below to a thread that has many talented people who share their work. I cannot wait to start doing stuff for the One X.

Start at the most recent since there are over 64000 posts

Ah that's good to know, many people moan about the One X battery life however it's probably people who haven't had a smartphone before lol

I see "4G LTE" in the status bar, I so wish we had 4G here in England!

Finally yeah HTC are way ahead of Samsung IMO, had my S2 a while and just don't like the plastic feel so going back to a HTC

Count me as another very very happy owner. I've had mine a little over a day now and it's simply beautiful. From the trim, light, unibody design to the gorgeous screen, versatile camera, to the *great* battery life (what a pleasant change from my last couple phones!!!) to Sense 4 and ICS, everything is working just how I hoped it would, if not better.

I've seen some other threads about people having wifi issues but, knock on wood, my wifi has worked without issues so far. In fact, our work wifi is a bit cranky, and my Rezound had lots of trouble using it, with frequent pauses or dropped connections whereas the One X has worked like a charm on it: speedy and no lost connections.

I hope your experience is as good as mine has been so far. Without question the best phone I've ever had.

Just ordered a white one today! I can't wait to get it and have been a big fan of HTC for a while and happen to like Sense. My only question is has anyone also had a Vivid and if so how does it compair to the One X?
