Confused Phone wont charge off the wall... HELP!?

As the title says my phone will no longer charge off the wall, I've had it for a week now and it worked fine for the first few days charging off the wall as usual but then I plugged it into my laptop one night to charge it that way and now when I try and plug it in anywhere using different chargers (including the charger I got in the box) it wont charge. Last night for example I put it on charge to see if any of the tips I found on these forums would help, I went to bed with it at around 50%, woke up around 8 hours later for it to only be on 61%... Today I tried charging the phone while it was off on the wall and it still barely charged it.

Does anybody know how I can fix this problem?

Is it possible something is running on the phone that is using up the battery, so much so that it can barely charge? Just a guess.

Default htc one x

If you are using the european one x check to see if you have apps running in the background. Go into setting check battery status plugg phone charger into wall outlet then into phone battery status should say phone charging if not do a factory reset repeat steps aain if presist take phone back to store bad phone or a short in charger. Now if battery status says battery charging then go into settings tap on power icon then tap battery use check to see what is apps is using the most power the screen should be using the most power. If its app that are not inportant like games then you need to disable the apps.sometimes app when not in use continue to update by themself.also check to see if you have airplane mode on .
