Default Not ringing!

My one x has developed a problem whereby it only rings occasionally when there is an incoming call, despite the volume being set high. I cannot see any rhyme nor reason for this.

I've removed recent software incase that was having an impact but it is still doing it.

I can call the phone from another phone right in front of me and it will ring. I can hang up, try again and it won't??

Was wondering if anyone else had had any experience of this?

I'm running android v4.04 and Sense v4.1.

Help!

Welcome to the forum DamoM

Coudl I just ask a few questions..

When you ring yourself the 2nd time and it didnt work did it still show up on the screen that you had an incoming call?

Also do you have a custom mp3 as your ringtone or a stock ringtone from HTC?

Cheers

Hi Jimbob. Thanks!

yes the 2nd ring shows up as an incoming call with my contact details, picture etc.

I've tried it on a stock ringtone and it makes no difference.

under settings>sound, do you have "pocket mode" or "quiet ring on pickup" turned on? if so, maybe try turning those off and see if you still have the issue?

Does this happen with text message tones etc or just with ringtones?

Text and other messgae tones are fine. It's just the ring tone.

I've tried everything but it's still not working. Getting to the point that I'm going to have to do a reset.

I think either you got an update to jb, or an update to sense. Your phone has always had ICS

I have this issue also. No ringing and no missed call indicator at the top left. This phone has all kinds of bugs... The most I have ever seen on an HTC, and this my 3rd android HTC device.
