Angry No Internet Connectoin

My HTC One X is only 3 days old and I have not spent any quality time with understanding it as of yet, however, when I attempt to connect to the Internet though, I turn on wi-fi and it scans and after a couple of minutes, it changes to disconnected. What is going on?
