Default Advert notification????

Hey Guys, I seem to be getting quite a few per day of what i can only call advertising notifications that when i click on them they take me to the advetising website... In my notification top bar they don't come up with the normal message icon they come up with a star???

How do i get rid of them? Is there a tick box that i've missed somehwere?

Please Help

Hello rgdrunning and welcome to the forum

I've seen this happen when you install an app with inbuilt advertising...

If the above isn't it, there's some info below which should help you narrow down and eliminate what's causing it.
