Default Massive Immediate Battery Drain

So I was using my one x this morning, like usual, and I experienced the battery dropping from about 50% to shut-off in the span of about 15 seconds... this is what it looked like (after recharging to turn on) in the battery settings:

Notice how the battery drops completely off at the end...One second the battery said about 50%, the next it beeped and shut off. Checking the temp after charging to reboot showed that the battery was not overheating, so I am inferring it wasn't at the time the phone shut off.

Does anyone know what this might be? I really don't want to have to send my phone in (can't go any period of time without a functional phone, and now that i have a microsim I can't swap it back into my old 3GS) and it doesn't happen often at all (this is maybe the second time)

GuitarG20 is online now
