Red light!!

Okay so I'm new here and need a little advise....so Ive had my HTC One X since around July and since this morning I have noticed that the little red light that normally comes on when your on a call is turning on and off randomly whilst my phone isn't doing anythng!

Anybody got any tips why it might be doing this?? It goes off for about 2minutes when I restart the phone but soon lights back up again

It's a multi-purpose LED, it also flashes to alert you of a notification (which is probably what's happening in your case) and goes quite mental when the phone is overheating.
