Default music playback skipping

hi, i was showing an ifan my new toy last nite, and he asked about external speakers, i said they were average at best, i played some music and turned it up, the song started skipping, it did the same on another track as well.. With headphones plugged in, it was rite as rain.. any ideas......

Assume that was with the default music player?

Have you tried another music player like PowerAmp, PlayerPro etc and see if it happens with them?

Music doesn't skip for me without headphones, albeit I don't listen to music often without headphones.

Also worth a shout is an app I found at the weekend called Noozy.

It's still in it's infancy, so there are some elements that could do with some work, but it's looking very nice so far (sound wise anyway, the UI needs a little work).
