Default Cannot type number in passcode HTC One X

I recently put a passcode on my phone for safety purposes on my One X phone.

Now I cannot see any numbers when I try to unlock the phone the space is just empty bellow the line to type in the number.

Have tried to restart, press the line the line is blinking in the number box.
After i have tried to type in ones the phone will freeze and i cant do anything not even drag the circle around, like the touch screen is frozen because the phone will ring if it is called at that time but it will not let me answer because the drag action wont work.

Can anyone help me out?

Hello and welcome to the forums, Simmi. Sorry to see you're having those issues. Try this first: Shut down the phone and remove the sd and sim card, then put them right back in and restart the phone. If it has a removable battery, remove it "live," meaning while the phone is on (with the sim and sd cards in place where they belong).

If all goes well.. cool. If not, try to get to the recovery menu and run a hard reset (I'm hoping you've been running backup software, if not you'll be starting over with the device).
