Default Terrible Front Camera Performance

The front camera on my HTC One X was pretty good when it came back from the HTC repair centre. It was clear than it had ever been and i was impressed. However, after 2 weeks, the front camera has gone terrible. Really grainy and blurry. I've tried cleaning the camera with a microfibre cloth and cotton buds however, no different. There is no visible damage or dust on I don't know why it's so bad. Any ideas? I've included 2 pictures taken with the front camera

This even happens after a reset? I'd back up important data and perform a factory reset if you can't get it to work properly. Before any of that....just go to camera and reset settings to default. See if that'll work. Good luck.

It seems like an hardware issue rather than a software issue.
