Can I report that Sprint store that had me pre order and didnt wanna sell me the phone when it was time to pick it up? The manager there was rude and they were laughing at me. I really wanna report them, do I have a legit complaint anyone? I got the manager name also.
May as well report them, seems pretty extreme. What was their reason for not wanting to sell it to you?

Wow that is messed up. but I have experienced that as well. It must not been a spiffed phone or any signing bonus for them. I have that happen on my Optimus X a few years back, Walked in excited to purchase it and they wanted to sell me everything but this phone. When I did get it wow they took the air out of sails from that day on about my phone choice. This is why i like ordering it online. The website is nice to you only wants to sell you more things and cant wait to finish your purchase or over customer service. I feel good after my purchase. Whats also great I know my ups guy and he knew I ordered a new phone and was excited to get it to me. Banged on my front door for quite some time was in the back room and didnt even hear him. Then calling and they acted like I bought the best thing ever asked all these questions about it why I chose it and so on as we activated the new LTE sim card. I havent been happier about a new phone except for my Incredible back on Verizon. It saved my life so I do have a kinship with it. I just sold my Amaze 4g with accessories for more than I paid for it a year ago 230.00 which makes my upgrade out of pocket with free over night shipping 49.00

I absolutely cannot WAIT until AT&T finally unleashes the black One. Pretty soon I'm just going to get the silver one and keep it moving, but I'm trying to be patient.

Just order mine today. Been using Blackberry for over 10 years, I'm going to have lots of questions for the forum for sure. Paid 129.99 thru Newegg, ordered the silver because it came with a $20 gift card. I already ordered my Otterbox commuter thru Amazon. I had signed up for the HTC trade in program too. Haven't really looked into that yet, not sure if I want to give up my Blackberry just yet. I have an older one, I wonder if I can trade that instead? Will look into that once I have the phone. I really liked Blackberry but Sprint not getting the new Z10 led me to android. I hope this phone is as awesome as claimed and problem free. Cheers

I know you can get a HTC One at Tmobile now for $570 something, yet people still want to pay more than $600 for it on ebay.

I just wonder when will it come down to $450 something. 1 month later?

Question Can I get the international version for T-mobile?

Can I get the international version of this phone for T-Mobile?

Or would it be better to get T-Mobile version because it has penta band.

I guess 5 band is better than quad (4) band ?

I call and been to a few Tmo stores and they all dont have it.

I just wonder if HTC is making supply low to get higher price. Then there is this thing others would go for other phone n cant wait.

I dont know what the deal is.

T-mo has it online. Or you can buy direct from HTC.

correct, I ended up going to get my phone from the corporate store after the other Sprint store refuse to sell me one.

thanks for response, they said because its a world phone they were not able to sell it to me. If that aint a crop of BS, my thing is that is fine if that is the reason they dont wanna sell it but dont have people pre order the damn phone then when its time to come pick it up then tell them you cannot sell them the phone because its a world phone.

They should have said this before I preordered the phone not after.

I went to Tmo website to look but how do you just buy it? It is always connected to a plan.

I cant get the international version bc it might not work on Tmo network. There is something about the 1900 mhz band.

The other advantage for me to buying from the HTC web site over tmo is that I saved $40 in sales tax. So in addition to no carrier bloatware, that was also worth waiting and extra week or so for the phone.

I did not see this on the HTC Unlock that HTC is selling on their website and its this:

HSPA+ 42

SO it will not work on Tmobile network.

Default Availability of Black HTC One

I was wondering if anyone has been able to get a hold of a black One and where they got it from. I've looked at AT&T, Amazon, and other places and so far a black one seems pretty rare. The only place I HAVE seen a black one is on the Wal-Mart site. Has anyone had any luck getting one from their local ATT store?

To bad everyone looking for the black is on at&t. I know sprint has them. The guy even opened one for me to look at as they were not allowed to have them on display. I guess they might have had them early.
I went for the silver though.

He said they only got 3 in, and they were all the 32GB models. He said he would text me as soon as they get the 64GB model in, or when it's possible for me to order one.

Turn in the S4, you will be happy that you did. I had both and went back to the ONE. Now there are 3 ONE phones in my family. Much more fluid ,no lag, better look ,feel and overall experience than the s4.

Well now that the black one is out I'll be purchasing it very soon. Amazon has it for $148, but they won't allow me to keep my current data plan and services. Costco will be my likely point of sale, but for now they only have the silver edition. No need to pay AT&T a whole $50 more when there are cheaper options out there. And costco waives the activation fee as well. Quick question to anyone who's bought phones from third party retailers on contract: I am an AT&T premier subscriber, but on 3rd party sites they do not factor in the 23% discount I get. AT&T will still honor the discount, right?

I have no read any post of this unlock phone that you buy from HTC and did it work on the T-Mobile network yet?

HTC has the Dev version on sell too and they do have it in stock. It is only $70 (you already come this far, what matters anymore?) more and that increase in memory is super nice.

Default HTC One 64Gb

I'm about 5 months beyond my Orange / EE contract expiry on my HTC Desire HD. I was waiting for the new phones from HTC (One) and Samsung (S4) hoping for a clear winner in terms of features and functionality, but I've been left a little disappointed.

My preference was to stick with HTC, simply cos I don't mind Sense and I've been on HTC since the old M3100, so perhaps there is a little brand loyalty. bless... However HTC were clearly moving away from the replaceable battery / memory card option, and HTC were historically battery heavy. My 32Gb memory card is pretty full as well, so I want more than a hard wired 32Gb!

The One looks awesome, but obviously gives me problems in terms of memory (though I see there aren't too many battery concerns vs the competition these days). The S4 seems nice enough but doesn't really look anything special, and I understand has limitations over what I can use the memory card for.

A 64Gb One would probably fit the bill, and appeared to be on the cards, but there seems to be no sign of one reaching the UK market. My Desire HD has lasted ok till now, but is starting to show its age and will need replacement quite soon I think.

Anyone heard anything about a 64Gb One?

There's not a lot of info about it in the UK. A couple of months back a few sources were told that it would come, but that the initial UK release would be 32GB. Since then, nothing.

I tried asking HTC last week but got a standard "we don't have any information, best bet is to watch our website" response. TBH I wasn't that surprised, since there are clearly still shortages of the 32GB units with many online retailers (including htc.com/uk). Would have been nice to get confirmation that it was coming though, even if a date would have been too much to hope for.

I'm also a Premier subscriber and I've upgraded through BB for my last 2 phones/contracts. I've never had a problem with the discount being applied, etc.

Just ordered the Black HTC One from WalMart for $148 + 7.99 for 2 day shipping. Gonna call AT&T to see if they'll waive the upgrade fee, but with it included I still come out cheaper by buying it from there. The Nexus 4 will go to the little bro, since his mytouch 4G took a bad dive a few weeks ago.

Very cool gesture g_patrick15.

You could have easily kept the N4 as a back-up/development toy/etc.....

Just curious, is the 64gb version only available through AT&T either online or in corp stores? I don't think I've seen it available through any 3rd parties (BB, Amazon, etc.), just directly through AT&T.

Thanks! It'll make a nice graduation present for him. I told myself it's Nexus or nothing from here on out (I've had 3 of the 4 nexus devices, the only one I've missed was the S), but the HTC One was too good to pass up, even if I'll only have it until the inevitable Nexus 5 comes out. We'll see. I'm so excited I can hardly wait for it to arrive Monday.

Well, since you mentioned a stock/NEXUS experience, have you considered cancelling your order & getting this:

Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition announced

Not trying to sway you from getting the HTC ONE,but,if you're wanting a pure ANDROID experience, this may be more to your liking.

I honestly thought about it, but I have a few misgivings about Samsung devices, namely the plastic exterior and (though not relevant in the case of the Google Edition) Touchwiz. After playing around with the One and the S4 at an AT&T store recently, I'm happy with my purchase. And even though I've paid close to that amount for phones before, the Nexus 4 has set a huge precedence with regards to phone prices, and I couldn't justify paying that much for a pseudo nexus, no matter how great the specs are. I know I'll get the itch for stock android (and it's updates) after awhile. Hopefully I can wait until the 5 comes out. I've been in these circumstances before. Got tired of my Nexus 1, so I got an iPhone 4. iOS was too meh, so I got an Inspire 4G. Sense, too, was pretty meh, so I went Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 back to back. I'll miss it, but the One has been calling my name. I really feel that it may* be the best phone on the market at the moment.

*I'll withhold final judgment until it's in my hands.

These are the phone that I have used (one at a time):

Dellx51v, MotorolaQ, Mogul, 800w, TreoPro, TouchPro2, HTCEvo3D, HTCEvo4GLTE, Nexus4

Almost wanted to get a Samsung but each time a new thing came up.

===============

I call T-mobile yesterday and they can sell you one for $580+tax and free shipping. He said after 60 days on with them, they can get it unlock for you. Or before the crackers get to it quicker.

BTW, because the One with T-mobile is Penta, its better than Quad band. So more is better. :-)

Default Verizon's Bastardization of the ONE

What are the thoughts that Verizon will ruin the ONE if it gets released? Will they change the color scheme? Will the bloat it up? Will they change the form factor? Will they call it something other than the ONE?

It looks like Wednesday could be Verizon's announcement of the ONE, but I'm not too confident. But things are lining up nicely.

1) DNA on sale for FREE until Tuesday
2) HTC is ramping up production
3) Samsung S4 already announced
4) Nokia already announced
5) Google I/O passed without any mention of the X phone

That leaves very few OEMs available to make a big announcement on Big Red.

Any thoughts?

I would be extremely shocked if HTC modifies the One for Verizon. Not saying that they won't but it doesn't fit in with their (HTC's) entire marketing and sales strategy.

Back when there were a thousand different names for essentially the same HTC device, I would say yes Verizon would go out of their way to muck it up VZW-style. But it doesn't fit with the overall theme that HTC is trying to portray with the One. The writing was on the wall when we found out that Sprint's version would keep the name, One, instead of making it an Evo.If Verizon gets the One, it'll be pretty much standard with what the rest of the US carriers offer. The only difference is they may get that sweet shade of red that's been floating around.

I'm just hoping that a ramp up in production might mean the 64GB model coming to Europe...

I wish the HTC One had a Google edition. I just want my Nexus experience to be on a HTC device. Love my One all the same.

Hands-on with the Samsung Galaxy S 4 running stock Android 4.2

If everyone makes the raw Google edition, I wonder how Google feels about their Nexus 4 line and down the road?

Default Red HTC One, legit or not?

I was just browsing teh interwebz and stumbled across this, a red HTC One Legit, or not? If ti's legit, this could mean that if/when Verizon finally get's it's butt in gear, it could end up with a red option for sure.

I saw a rumour for a blue one too.
I guess we have to wait and see.
That red rumour is a few weeks old now.

I know the rumor is old, but that website I posted has red ones for sale, thus confirming the rumor if the website is legit.

I'd call the seller 1st thing Monday to confirm before ordering, especially if you're wanting one comptaible w/SPRINT.

If other retailers/e-tailers aren't offering it,I'd be a bit suspicious as to how they have an "exclusive" on such a model.

I'm not the least bit interested in a red One, and I already have my One, I just found this interesting since until this point, the possibility of a red one was simply a rumor.

I kinda figured you probably weren't too interested in swapping out for a mere color change,as you probably would have waited for such a phone to be widely available instead of "settling" for the silver/black model.

At this time,IMHO,the "RED" model may be backordered until available,if ever,by this e-tailer,as many sellers on e-Bay did w/this phone when it was 1st announced & charging a premium for the pleasure.

I'd steer clear of this offer,it reeks of counterfeit &/or fraud.

At this point I'm inclined to agree, besides, this is not an American company, so even if it does turn out to be real, it may not work with any American carrier. However, my curiosity has been piqued, I may end up contacting them Monday just to satisfy it.

When I see videos of it and HTC makes a comment verifying it I will believe it.
It's like the white Nexus.... at least we know that it DOES exist because there are videos of it being shown to people.

Red and Blue HTC One... yeah not sure I believe that one just yet.
They get 500 people to "pre order" then make like a sheep herder and get the flock out.. with your coin!

Default [Rumour] HTC One Google Edition

Along with the 4.2.2 rumour, there's a (highly doubtful, but still possible) rumour that there will be a Vanilla HTC One release like the S4.

If they release a Google Edition, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to swap Sense 5 for vanilla Jelly Bean as soon as the source becomes available.
