Amazon.com: Aduro U-GRIP PLUS Universal Dashboard Windshield Car Mount for Smart Phones, Apple iPhone 5, 4 / 4S, 3G, Samsung Galaxy S2 / S3 / S4, Galaxy NOTE 2, Motorola Droid RAZR / MAXX, HTC EVO 4G, HTC One X, LG Revolution, GPS Holder (Black/Red)

I picked up one of these. It fits the One really well, it is easy to insert and remove the phone. The suction cup grips my dash really well, there is no way this thing is coming loose. The mount is not too large so it does not take up a lot of space on your dash and it is well made.

Here are some photos of the mount in my car.

I got this mount from Best Buy. Looks similar to the one above.BRACKETRON. MiT Grip DeskDash Mount for Most Mobile Phones IPM-495-BL - Best Buy

This thing will stick to anything to include your kids. I have not needed to rinse it off the adhesive area at all. If you have armor all on the dash you will need to ensure that area is wiped off before trying to stick it there.

I just got this case, and so far, I love it!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C3HAAX0/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=pe_385040_30332190_pe_17 5190_21431760_M3T1_ST1_dp_1

Much thinner than the Otterbox case I had it on before.

Default YET ANOTHER Case.............

Took delivery of this case today:
Black Aluminum Metal Sliding Bumper Slider Frame Case for HTC One M7 801E SB K | eBay

Which is essentially a much less-expensive alternative to this:
DRACO ONE - Aluminum bumper for New HTC One

I already reviewed the DRACO ONE,so,I'll focus on the former & its features.

1) No tools/loose parts to assemble vs the DRACO ONE,A DEFINITE PLUS!
2) Aluminum construction adds negligible weight to the phone.
3) More than ample edge protection, especially when placing the phone face-down on a surface.
4) Cut-outs for all ports/buttons,even the SIM CARD Door, are perfectly aligned. However, this is one area where I prefer the DRACO ONE,as it has buttons for the POWER/I-R BLASTER & VOLUME,instead of cut-outs.
This is in no way a knock on the functionality/quality of the case, just a personal preference/purely subjective,as I favor the buttons vs. cutouts.

If you're wanting an aluminum bumper case at a fair price, this is definitely worth consideration, not to mention looking very similar to the DRACO ONE,but,at about 1/6TH the price, which I imagine, was the main intention of this (nameless) manufacturer/case.

An itskins case zero takes 20-25 days to arrive via air mail. Of course choosing another delivery method will cost you way more money, yet you will receive your product that much faster.

Edit: Follow up

Thanks - and thank you, Marc...

The only reason I went w/ the cheap charger is that it was the only car charger that had a removable USB cable that I can remove from the car adapter & plug in to my PC @ work. Do you out anyone else know of a more reliable charger that does the same thing? Thanks again.

...just tried it again. I get a solid orange light for a few seconds, then it blinks again... I think I'm just going to return it as I don't want to risk screwing the phone up... Any recommendations for a quality car charger w/ removable USB would beGREATLY appreciated!

I purchased two HTC car chargers in 2010 for my HTC EVO 4G and they are still going strong. When the 3D came out I purchased micro usb adapters for the ends of the cords and that's why I can still use them with my One.

There are two pictures all in one photo that I saw. One shows the usb cable attached and the other picture shows the cable disconnected from the car charger. It's made that way so you can use any usb cable with the car charger if your cable goes bad. Did you click on the link for the product when you went to the HTC website?

Finally got my iBlason case and am kinda disappointed. Idk if it didn't charge all the way but I unplugged it when I woke up and had a fully charged phone. Put the case on around 6:20 this morning and all I did was stream music and had maybe an hour of screen time before it died at 12:30. All music streaming was done over faux G. After it died, it seemed to be sucking some of the phones battery as I lost 15% per hour while not doing anything.

It's nice still have 60% of my battery with an hour and a half left at work instead of looking at a dead phone.

I haven't used mine much at all (maybe a half dozen times, tops). Nothing scientific, but,if memory serves me correctly, the last couple of uses didn't seem to render as long of service before running empty vs when new.

I got it basically as an insurance policy since removable/extended batteries are a no-go. Haven't really had a need for it honestly,my battery life is rather nice.

If you want mine, consider if yours.

PM me if interested, BUSTED BONES & I'll get it in the mail tomorrow A.M.

I know it seems crazy to pay almost $24 dollars for a car charger. However, the last two car chargers I purchased from HTC are still operational after having them for 3 years. In my opinion, paying for quality will last longer than the cheap cell phone chargers for your car. But then again I have never purchased a cheap car charger.

I'm currently using this over my 'usual preference' of a case-mate barely there case and I must say is fits the One more snug than a bug in a rug!!

I liked it so much, i brought two in case the other gets a scratch protecting my phone !!!

Purchased extreme guard full protection, haven't received them yet but for ten sets, the total was $17! Used code 3for83. Looking forward to checking them out.

For actual cases I bought the incipio feather in black. Its very nice and slim but I suspect it won't protect from a drop but may keep you from marring up the back. It digs in with pointy edges the way I hold the phone but I'll still get use out of it.

Also bought the incipio dualpro cf. I love this case, looks good, minimal bulk and appears it will protect very well.

I recommend the dual pro but probably wouldn't the feather. There are other minimalist cases out there that probably won't dig in uncomfortably.

I'll post back once I receive the extreme guards.

The perfect case for the occasions when you want to carry the bare necessities.Has room for three credit cards/license,etc... & room to tuck a little paper money behind the card storage area.

I may end up making this my work phone case,as I would welcome the chance to leave the wallet at home,I've got enough misc. items from work to tote around as it is.

Not that it matters, but, since you brought it up,here's what I paid:

Jul 4, 2013 Payment To Newegg.com Completed Details -$7.99 USD

Free shipping BTW,so,it looks like this was a pretty good deal, better than the current listing @ AMAZON.

I was hanging around The YouTube the other day and this video came up in the related videos. With the promise to magically "Turn Your HTC One Black" I had to click it even though I knew it was too good to be true, just to see what it was all about.

eBay.com | SmartSkins Store - HTC One
This Black skin set they preview actually looks like it is not that bad. With good looking cut and quality (not that I would ever use one).
Haven't seen anyone else mention them here (searched as well). They have a variety of color styles.
Recently I've seen a few posts in other threads here with folks looking for a Black One on their carrier of choice without the color option available or containing the right radios. I know its farfetched but maybe these skins might be a decent solution? A clear case being a good complementary product to prevent peeling?

I use a clear skin on my ONE (XTREME GUARD),no peeling after about 3 months of use.
As you mentioned, many would have opted for the black ONE if it were available on their carrier,& this appears to be a viable solution.

MANY THX for sharing this w/us,PyroSporker!

I went ahead & ordered the matte black one, about $13 (USD)

Spendy little shipping VAT

This product is a sticker, they make that pretty clear in their description, so it will likely be quite different than, what I find to be hideous, wet apply "protecting products" like Zagg (Xtreme Guard, Ghost Armor, Skinomi, XO Skins, or bestskinsever, etc. etc. ad naseum)
Smart Skins will likely peel easier at the edges. You probably know this, just an FYI to others.

I got my One a couple days ago and I can't complain about a single thing. The camera on this is thing is pretty amazing as it is. Compared to the S4, the main camera has a wider lens and can capture a lot more of the same scene and the ultrapixel sensor allows a lot of light even at at the same ISO.

Here's some stuff for phoneography. Add to it or add reviews if you want

Will these products work so I can setup my Sony Trinitron tv to broadcast movies, videos, and pictures from my HTC One? Figured I should ask the cell phone geeks (meaning all of us) if this bright idea will work.

I will use these cables to power my phone and connect to the HDMI converter box.
micro-USB to HDMI MHL Adapter Kit w/ HDMI Cable & Power Cable 10021

Then I will use this HDMI converter box to connect to my tv:
Amazon.com: New 3 RCA Composite S-video R/L Audio to HDMI Converter: Electronics

Customer service told me to go with this one guys because it will charge my phone as well.
Amazon.com: Panlong MHL to Composite RCA TV Android Adapter 5-pin Micro-USB to AV/CVBS Converter for MHL-enabled Samsung Galaxy S Note HTC LG ASUS Smartphones/Tablets: Cell Phones & Accessories

This Black skin set they preview actually looks like it is not that bad. With good looking cut and quality (not that I would ever use one).
I know its farfetched but maybe these skins might be a decent solution? A clear case being a good complementary product to prevent peeling?

This product is a sticker, they make that pretty clear in their description, so it will likely be quite different than, what I find to be hideous, wet apply "protecting products" like Zagg (Xtreme Guard, Ghost Armor, Skinomi, XO Skins, or bestskinsever, etc. etc. ad naseum)
Smart Skins will likely peel easier at the edges. You probably know this, just an FYI to others.

Crazy fast processing/shipping:5 DAYS TOTAL from U.K. to U.S.

The quality actually surpassed my expectations. The material is definitely more substantial than a sticker, but, just shy of a full-fledged body skin.

Applied properly/aligned,this skin/decal will look great.A steady hand is essential & a magnifying lamp is suggested to facilitate a quicker/straighter alignment/installation.(You can peel-off/remove & re-install as many times as necessary for a proper installation/application).

As for concerns regarding the edges peeling, just follow the mfgs recommendations/instructions (a blow dryer after applicaton to seal the edges) & those concerns shoud be put to rest.
The kit comes w/decals to cover virtually the entire phone:FRONT/BACK/EDGES,but,I believe I'll go w/keeping the backside covered & leave the rest alone.

First, I want to say itskins makes the best and lightest case for the HTC One. When I'm dressed nice or going out I usually throw my itskins case onto my One. Otherwise, I'm sporting a clear case from Radio Shack. I was sitting in a chair and enjoying the company of friends in a pizza joint around 3 AM and I was partially inebriated. I felt around in my holster for my One and I couldn't find it. So I looked underneath my seat and I located my phone. I performed a pretty thorough inspection of the phone. My One had zero scratches on the front, backside, and the screen did not crack. The One had to have experienced at least a 2.5 foot fall from my holster onto the tile floor. The itskins case stood up to the fall test. I think I'm going to order another itskins case because I get more compliments using that case rather than my clear, plastic case. The case made by itskins is beautifully crafted for the One. I would suggest HTC start selling those types of cases for their phone because they weigh nothing and look great. If you don't have an itskins case, waiting 20 days for them to ship you one is worth the wait!

I did some traveling this past week and I did not want to have to seek out power stations or outlets for my One or 3D. And when you travel and plan to stay with friends you don't know if the outlets in the guest bedroom will be close or far from your bed or the night stand. So I went to Amazon.com and purchased the Anker Astro E5 15000 mAh Portable battery pack. The battery pack can deliver a charge of 1A and 2A simultaneously. It worked flawlessly to power my One and 3D at the same time. I was watching Superman with the HBO GO app using Sprint's 4G network while in the airport and powering my One at the same time. The battery pack seems to actually charge the phone faster than using a power outlet in my "opinion." I haven't checked the battery monitor app to see if my assertion is correct. Or if you need to charge your phone(s) on a flight you can pull out the Anker battery pack and have your phone(s) pretty well charged before landing. I endorse this product for the One and traveling: Amazon.com: Anker® Astro E5 15000mAh Portable Ultra-High Density High Capacity External Battery Backup Charger for iPhone 5 (Apple adapter not included), 4S, 4, iPad 4, 3, 2, Mini, iPods, Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, S2, Note 2, Note 8, Tab 3; HTC One, EVO

Last, but not least I want to talk about ear buds. If you want a pair that's comparable to the set made by Beats Audio and came with the One out of the box I suggest purchasing a set made by SOL Republic. I purchased these ear buds that came with a microphone attached and volume controls. FYI: Since the ear buds were made for iphones the volume controls will not work. (I knew this before making my purchase at Radio Shack.) However, they are on par with the ear buds that come with the One, if not better. I know $30 seems like a lot for ear buds but they were worth every penny! Sound quality was amazing, superb, and something to always brag about. Talking to my lady in the super busy Atlanta airport was no problem at all. She heard every word I spoke as I maneuvered through crowds of people talking and loud noises all around. The microphone is beyond great in my opinion...remarkable would better describe it. You can purchase a set from Radio Shack for the price at Amazon.com. Amazon.com : SOL REPUBLIC 1111-31 Jax In-Ear Headphones with Three-Button Remote and Microphone, White/Black : Electronics

My apologies for the long post ladies and gents.

Talking Suggestions for Headphone plug & USB cover

Hi folks,
Does anyone have a really good and reputable source for where I can acquire a headphone plug (or two or three) and a micro USB cover?

I've got a cover on my HTC One, but they both have cutouts for access. I don't want to get a cover that has those covers built in already because I've had bad experiences.

I don't want to go buy some strange phone charm at the mall just to get the plug (personally, I chainmaille, and I'd make my own, so I just need the plug part of this), and I don't want to chance eBay or Amazon on someone random in case things don't fit, don't ship, or otherwise don't work out. So, I'm turning to the brain trust here to help me.

Thanks in advance!

Just to chime in on the car mount discussion from a while back-- I picked up the universal mount they sell at the verizon store, which attaches either with an adhesive, or with a little spring mechanism to the vent (which is how I'm using it). It was $19.99

I'm usually really weary about buying any of the verizon brand stuff but I'm really liking this. It holds the phone very securely (I have my One in an otterbox commuter) but it's still easy to get in and out and seems like it would definitely fit whatever phone/case/etc. The vent isn't ideal since that vent obviously becomes less functional, but it feels very secure while also being a lot faster to get the whole unit on and off than a strong suction cup.

On the other hand the screen protectors I got there today were awful

Hey... just to bump this a bit in case my query got lost: Does anyone have a really good and reputable source for where I can acquire a headphone plug (or two or three) and a micro USB cover (an insert for the port, so I can keep it dust-free)?

Very well.

I can only speak for the 3 pieces that cover the backside, as I didn't care for the look on the front grille(s).

There are also pieces in the kit that cover the white edges that I didn't bother to apply, just too much of a monochromatic look for me.

Funny that you should ask,as I just removed the decals last night to take photos of the phone for listing it for sale & the decals actually adhered better over time, but, did not leave a residue or discolor & left the BEATS logo & small print intact.

Anyway, the decals apply easily enough & you can remove & re-position for straightness as required on initial application.
Afterwards, the decals make a firm bond & stay in place w/no edge peeling whatsoever.

The seller of these is one cool cat as well, definitely worthy of mentioning!

This is a relatively inexpensive way to dress-up/change the appearance of the ONE while also providing a level of protection, I highly recommend getting one of these.

Yeah, getting the GN3....
Just wanting to try a different experience (namely w/the S-PEN features),this phone (ONE) is still a top-dog,but, just want to get something for it ($) before it sits in a desk drawer & loses any potential value.

I'll re-visit HTC later on, it'll be interesting to see what's in store for the future.

Some homegrown advice, from our very own Chris Chavez @PHANDROID:

Not any particular recommendations, but, just a couple things to consider to narrow down the possibilities:

1) Wet or dry application:
Just a difference in application methods, one isn't better than the other for performance, just different installation procedures from different mfgs.

2) Level of protection:Some have a barely-there profile, some are a bit tougher & perhaps not as smooth to the touch.

I'd recommend getting some inexpensive protectors at first,a bulk pack of 3 or so,from e-Bay/AMAZON/etc....
If they work for you,no need to pay upwards of $30 for the top-of-the-line/name brand ones,+,you can get your application technique honed to perfection w/o the worry of ruining an expensive protector.

3) I've done this one myself:
Take your phone & screen protector to your friendly service provider. Most likely, they will install it for you, whether you bought it from them or elsewhere.

I bought xtreme skins after reading this thread. They are wet application and I find them to be a gazillion times easier to apply then the hard plastic type. Unfortunately that have a rubbery texture at first but break in to less so but still can feel rubbery. I only mention this because I find Swype and some games can be harder with a rubbery texture. The only advice I can give for the dry application screen protectors is ask someone else to do it. Clean the screen with scotch tape. With the wet application, just be patient and don't rush. I was able to apply it perfect the first try but luck could have been a big part of that lol.
