Jumped in after Kolio's recommendation on these....HTC One Mini M4 Leather Effect Skin Wrap Cover Sticker Protector NOT CASE items in smartskins store on eBay!

Free delivery, and got it within a couple of days.....only problem...i ordered the Matt Black, and received the carbon Fibre effect!

Not exactly what i wanted, but fitted anyway, as said before, very easy, and can be removed and refitted at will, went the whole hog and put the lot on, but will probably end up removing everything but the back.

Gave it all a good going over with a hairdryer as recommended and it all seems to stick very well.

I've had one of the Xtreme Guard skins on mine for months now, and apart from some discolouration to the rear skin, this has served me very well, glad i still have another set spare....

After removing the rear skin, there was not a mark on the phone, and no residue left from it either, just some gunk around the edges where it all seems to build up.....and also, once removed the thing was still as sticky as hell, i could easily have put it back in place and carried on using it. (Took a fair bit of pulling to get it off as well!)

Anyway, here is a pic of the rear carbon fibre skin that i have on now, not ideal but it will do for now, until i contact the seller and see why it was sent.

You have to buy a docking station for the htc one. Apple products don't work on anything else..

just search the internet and use HTC ONE DOCKING STAND.

you can also search in this thread for possible ideas.

Ebay has many different ones.

i purchased one and posted about it earlier in this thread.

If you'd like to keep your Apple specific dock, but be able to use it with your Android phones or other accessories, you could try getting a patch cable like they show in this article. It takes the Apple dock connector and channels just the audio pins to a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
(The dock you own has to be a "universal" type that works across multiple devices and does not interface specifically/exclusively with the software or hardware of the Apple device)

Gottabemobile.com | How to Connect Your Android Phone to iOS Dock Accessories Revisited

The CableJive products seem to be a popular brand, though you might be able to find the same cable or another type of adapter for slightly cheaper. There are other such products out there.

I got this one@ the recommendation of the OP & it's a keeper:

HTC ONE accessories (discussion, user reviews)

Still for sale @ NEWEGG.

Newegg.com - Leather Case Wallet Magnetic Flip Cover Stand for HTC M7 - Black - Black/White

I'd give you mine,as I've only used it once, for about an hour (quality is A-ONE,just not my fave form factor),but,I'm guessing shipping from Southwest U.S. to Canada would cost more than a new one shipped.

----------------

As this is the next to last day that I have the HTC ONE before shipping out to another via SOLD: Selling isn't for you. Use Sold.

I wanted to give a quick review/recommendation of these most awesome BLUETOOTH earbuds:

Bluetooth Headphones : Bluetooth Stereo Headphones Sports : Android Bluetooth Stereo Headset Headphones : iPhone Bluetooth Headphones : iPod Bluetooth Headphones : Jaybirdgear.com

The sound quality rivals anything I've used, wired or BLUETOOTH.Absolutely no distortion whatsoever, even at the highest volume setting & having BEATS enabled.
The forementioned setting is definitely something tangible, not just a gimmick,as I also have the once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to compare these w/two different phones, the HTC ONE & the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3.

While both sound great,the HTC ONE sounds a bit richer,especially w/the bass,if not a 1/2 notch louder.

As some of you here may know me well enough to notice that I've never met an accessory that I didn't like ,I'd be remiss if I didn't give these a 2 THUMBS-UP recommendation, especially to all the music junkies out there. It's the best of both worlds, wired quality sound w/the freedom of BLUETOOTH that actually stays connected for uninterrupted music/audio enjoyment.

While it does not have an external battery like the Mophie case, I am using the thin but strong SUPERCASE that someone here suggested, and I love it!

It is a great fit, phone feels secure and the volume cutouts are perfectly placed. It doesn't add that much bulk considering the type of case. It fits 3 cards (with 1 having a window) and has a spot behind the cards to keep a little cash. It has a stand but I don't think I'll use it much and it looks like if you do it could crease and possibly deteriorate the case over time. The snap works well and you can even snap it open (which looks like it'll be handy) for extended usage.

Overall I'm very pleased and I've retired my Cruzerlite and my wallet.

Am looking for a full body skin, maybe with a glass screen cover.
Used best skins ever before and wondering is there anyone better.
And what glass screen guard should I buy.

Yeah, sorry about the repetition. I performed a search on this thread and realized after i had searched the term "Meenva" (a typo of course). I thought it was unusual that no one had mentioned it. Essentially a *bump* for Meenova...in theory of course.

Go w/the XTREME GUARD body skin.
I used it on my ONE for 3 months & the phone still looked out-of-the-box new when I switched to a SMARTSKINS matte black body skin, which also provided excellent protection.

Hey all. I am interested in buying camera lenses that attach to the HTC one. Any suggestions. Here is what I found.

I was looking into camera attachments: lenses that change the field of view/zoom. I was thinking of getting a zoom lens. Here are two that I have found under $20.
http://www.aleixpress.com/store/product/8X-Zoom-Universal-Telescope-Long-Focal-Camera-Lens-for-iPhone-Mobile-Phone-with-Mini-Tripod-Holder/102484_800056703.html

http://www.aleixpress.com/store/product/Universal-8X-Optical-Zoom-Telescope-Camera-Lens-for-iPhone-4S-4G-5G-5S-5C-HTC-One/418035_1389101673.html

8x Zoom Telescope Lens Telephoto Universal Holder for Mobile Cell Phone Camera | eBay

I was wondering if anybody had reviews of using them without using a tripod and if taking video with them is viable. I cannot find these lenses except ebay and chinese websites, even the bushnell lense.

I was also looking into macro/fisheye lenses and found this:

Amazon.com: Universal 3 in 1 Camera Lens Kit for Smart phones (including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, HTC, Motorola and More), Tablets, iPad, and Laptops includes One Fish Eye Lens / One 2 in 1 Macro Lens and Wide Angle Lens / One Universal Clip / One Mic

Any reviews of these/suggestions?

Default BoxWave Slim-Fit Design Protective HTC One TPU and Hard Cases and Cover

Amazon.com: BoxWave HTC One UniColor Case - Sleek Dual Tone TPU Case for Durable Anti-Slip Protection, Transparent Matte Back with Solid Border - HTC One Cases and Covers (Frosted Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

So, just got this case in today from Amazon. Quick review, and I"ll be back in a few days after some road testing. The black rubber bumper adds some much needed grip to the One. However, the backside leaves a bit much to be desired. The bumper gives a nice lips to help protect the screen of the phone, all without taking up valuable screen. In fact, it snaps right onto the phone, and seems to offer great protection.

The volume buttons are completely covered, and easy to manipulate. All ports and sensors are accessible and centered with the exception of the microphone at the bottom, it's not quite centered. The power button hole leaves a little to be desired, as the button sits a little deep in relation to the bumper. I have to either press it with the side of my finger, or, using the whole tip of the finger, it pushes / distorts towards the front of the phone.

If you have the blue One from Best Buy, this case with the black goes great with it. However, that back again leaves some to be desired. Having the blue One, I wanted to show it off. While it is "frosted", it's a little too frosted for my liking.

This case would look better on a silver One with the frosted back cover.

I maybe looking to switch it out with something that will show off the blueness.

** Mayhim out.

Any way to get this thread stickified for users to find it a bit easier?

Default HTC One battery case

Hi all. I have had my One now for about a month and I love it. It's fast, smooth and the battery life isn't too shabby. But.. it could always be better.

With the One, I usually can squeeze about 13-14 hours out of the battery. More or less depending on my usuage. I'd really like to get a bit more for those days I work late or don't go straight home. I just don't want to worry about having to look for a charger and being tied to a cable because my battery is low.

Has anyone come across a battery case that is worth the price. I'm seeing mixed reviews on the main battery cases for the HTC One. Those being Mophie & I-blason. They seem to be hit or miss cases. I see either they don't charge at all or the capacity begins to deteriorate quickly. But normally get swapped out for working ones. I honestly would rather not go through that.

I have used Mophie when I had the iPhone 4s and it did great other than the power switch breaking. Which was no problem at all. I just left it on and saw no issues from doing so after using it for almost 2 years non stop.

I'm not so familiar with I-blason.

I'd like to hear your opinions on these or any other worthy battery case.

Thanks,
Brandon

Default Good cheap case

I bought this one. For $10, I figured it was hard to go wrong and I knew I didn't want this slippery little phone caseless. Only criticism is the case covers the IR blaster/Power button. Took an Xacto knife to the inner half after verifying with another phone camera that's where the IR emitter is.

Default Qi/wireless charging cases?

The only one I have found is this one on ebay

The plug looks really flimsy, and probably very hard to remove from the phone. Anyone used one? Other sources?

Probably a dumb question, but does anyone think that the HTC M8 will have the same body dimensions as the HTC M7?

Default Do the stock ear buds have music playback controls?

hey guys is there a way to press and hold the button on the earphones that come with this phone to do more than just call some one? im hoping to control the music player like skip track or choose artist/album/playlist is this possible?

ASSuming you have the stock phones that come with the htc one (im speaking about the ones that come with the sprint version), you can play and pause but not much else, i do not see any way to control album artist info from these basic stock phones.

its recommended to get aftermarket phones. these htc ones are nice:

I have the Otterbox commuter and I an thinking of getting the defender series case now. Are the speakers covered on the defender? Does this effect the sound coming from them if so?. Thanks in advance for the replies.

According to this, there are cutouts for the speakers -

Thank you, I could not find a good close up of the screen protector used on the Defender. Much appreciated. Ordered today online at AT&T for $5.00 free shipping. If you order 2 you get 10% off as well.

I love my Defender. When the built-in screen protector got too bad, I took it out and just went with a regular one.

Got this in yesterday, great deal for 5 bucks. The lines are a little softer/rounder than my Otterbox commuter, but I like the fact it seems much less slippery in hand now. I can see this screen protector going south at some point, and I will just add one in as you did when that happens.

I had been trying to find a good screen protector for my HTC. Had a preety bad time goggling frantically in the internet. But my search was over when someone recommended me a screen protector from Gearmaxx. It was really an ideal one for me. Try it and feel the difference.

Default Hype HY 1022 Bluetooth Keyboard won't pair

My HTC One (M7) won't pair with this keyboard. It tries, but every time I enter the six digit code on the keyboard, it fails. I took the first one back and exchanged it. The second one does the same thing.

Does anyone know how to make this work?

Bring the phone and keyboard back to the store. Ask them to pair them or replace the keyboard (again) and pair the new one. (It's difficult and expensive to get a loyal customer - it's simple to lose one. Most businesspeople know that, so they'll try to make you feel good about dealing with them. If it's a big box store, and the salesdroid won't help you, ask to speak to the manager.)

Thanks, but the store folks won't know anything about the phone or the keyboard.

perhaps the keyboard does not WORK with this device? is there a compatibility chart for this type of keyboard on its website?

have you contacted the developer of the keyboard?

are you rooted?

can you try, say, a friends phone to see if it pairs?

if you exchanged the keyboard at the same store is possible they have a defective batch and you could have a defective keyboard.

EDIT: what six digit code did you use? "0000" or "1234"?

I see you have posted all over the internet about this same question..

I am reading there may be some type of .apk needed to install on the phone off the CD. have you seen any app on the CD that comes with it?

more and more people are having issues with this keyboard the more I do random searches. looks to be a pretty cheap product so no harm no foul, but is there some other keyboard you can swap for?

are these keyboards new? and what kind of shop are you getting these from?

is this the keyboard?

No, I'm not rooted.

The code changes each time I try to pair it. I enter the code it gives, but it fails.

If "all over the net" means once here and once on androidcentral, yes.

No, that isn't the keyboard.

It sounds like you found the same stuff I already found.

There is supposed to be a CD that comes with it. It doesn't. Judging from the net comments, the lack of a CD probably doesn't matter.

There was some talk about and Android keyboard bug. I didn't chase that down though.

Thanks for trying.

this looks like an accessory that does not have a R and D dept.

there are better keyboards out there but with little info on this device it see,s it may not be compatible with 4.x android.

the above photo has a similar model number hence why i posted it.

if the code changes and you put in the code on each device and it still does not pair, the keyboard may simply not be compatible. not every Bluetooth device is compatible with this model phone.

DRACO ONE - Aluminum bumper for New HTC One

I already reviewed the DRACO ONE,so,I'll focus on the former & its features.

1) No tools/loose parts to assemble vs the DRACO ONE,A DEFINITE PLUS!
2) Aluminum construction adds negligible weight to the phone.
3) More than ample edge protection, especially when placing the phone face-down on a surface.
4) Cut-outs for all ports/buttons,even the SIM CARD Door, are perfectly aligned. However, this is one area where I prefer the DRACO ONE,as it has buttons for the POWER/I-R BLASTER & VOLUME,instead of cut-outs.
This is in no way a knock on the functionality/quality of the case, just a personal preference/purely subjective,as I favor the buttons vs. cutouts.

If you're wanting an aluminum bumper case at a fair price, this is definitely worth consideration, not to mention looking very similar to the DRACO ONE,but,at about 1/6TH the price, which I imagine, was the main intention of this (nameless) manufacturer/case.
Interested to see your mini-review of the above case/bumper.

I've just started using a HTC One (M7) and am considering one of these for protection.

Your mini-review seemed to be based on initial thoughts upon delivery of the case but I wondered if you could add to it based on longer usage.

How practical was it?
What was the quality like?
Did it provide good all-round protection?

Thanks in advance.
