I'm hoping trident is going to announce some of their cases soon. I have ALWAYS bought my rugged cases from them. As good as otter box or better. Their kraken cases is awesome

Screen protectors, just like phone cases, run the gamut.
There's the ZAGG brand,for heavy-duty protection:

HTC One Screen Protector | invisibleSHIELD by ZAGG

Great protection, but, has an orange-peel look/feel to it (had one myself on another phone).

And SPIGEN:

HTC One Screen Protector GLAS.t SLIM Premium Tempered Glass - ONE - HTC - Cell Phones | SPIGEN SGP

http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/htc/htc-one/htc-one-screen-protector-steinheil.html

And everything in-between,as there are dozens,if not hundreds of different makes of screen protectors available. With all the choices available,I seriously doubt if you're going to get a consensus recommendation from the members here.

It all boils down to how much $ you want to spend & if you're wanting maximum protection,or,a screen protector that is "barely there".
Fortunately, you don't have to spend a whole lot of money to figure out which is best suited for your needs.

I myself have been going sans screen protector for 7+ months now on my phone & have yet to experience a single flaw in the appearance. However,I think I may change my tune w/the ONE & get the tempered glass protector from SPIGEN.

My soon to be wifey showed me a little dangle charm thing that she said she was going to put on her One. She was apparently really excited about it too

That pink is just so adorable!!!!! Hah just kidding

But seriously, I'm not sure why everyone is going bonkers over flip covers. I respect that people like them, but I just feel like they make more sense on a larger screen ie galaxy note. The phones that are shaped more like phones and not tablets just look odd. Just me I suppose.

With the way my phone history goes, I need to somehow figure out how to get it to defy gravity. A flip case would help me out a ton.

If the case had wings, I would agree with you! But most of the flip covers offer so little protection. I think Im just jaded by my own galaxy note with flip cover. It's nice but is only marginally better than the normal back cover. I still trust an otterbox/trident rugged case over anything. Hell even basic tpu cases feel better, they bounce when hitting the ground.

Than again it just might be the Samsung flip covers that scare me.

Speck Candyshell available for pre-order in the UK

Finally, I love these cases. Slim but dual layer silicone/hard shall and actually afford a lot more protection than might be first thought (dropped Candyshelled iPhone 5 on to concrete and only a slight scuff to case, phone perfect).

Default zagg invisible shield full body

I'm considering trying this out for the HTC one. The phone is just too good looking to cover with a case.

I've never tried full body by zagg before. I see on their site they are set to ship on the 27th. Is anyone else considering this route? Any impressions on them from people who have purchased them for past devices?

I had a Zagg on my Pre back then, and had the "orange peel effect" at the edges, but I've heard they have improved. I just bought a 2 pack of Steinheil screen protectors from Amazon, but didn't see any full body ones of same brand.

2) The product description in this one :

Ultra Thin Clear Hard Case Cover for HTC ONE M7

Shows photos of the HTC ONE but, product description describes a perfect fit for a SONY model.

Might wanna do some Q & A w/ iPhone 5 Cases | iPhone 5 Screen Protectors l The new iPad Cases | Samsung Galaxy 3 Cases | iPad 2 Cases | Google Nexus 7 Screen Protectors - *******.COM before ordering.
odd..in the description is says:

Got this today, it is a bit awkward when taking a call but as someone who frequently drops his phone it is worth the compromise

Does that just go around the edges? Maybe you can show a couple angles?

I went ahead and ordered the zagg full body. I will probably just use the back part of it. These screens are damn near impossible to scratch these days. Ill post once I get it.

I hate cases too. Especially for this phone. Who would want to hide that beautiful design? I see lots of thin clear cases but I'm going with the zagg full body. I imagine that that aluminum will start to wear and scratch over time of putting it down and picking it up off of different surfaces

If you mean the clips that hold the phone then yeah they just go around the edges but hold it quite securely.

This is it without anything in.

This what it looks like closed.

Saw a review of that case. Looks and feels great but fails for one simple reason. The flap does not stay closed as there are no magnets to hold it down. HTC WTF.

Mine stays closed fine when i use it, ok, it didn't on the first day of use, but after a little use it stays closed fine.

Or do you actually mean being held closed as opposed to just staying closed when laying flat?

I did find it strange that there was no magnets, I've done a few drop tests on the bed from shoulder height and it didn't open once.

Yeah being held closed by a magnetic system that guarantees it stays flat when closed.

Had a few people saying they can't hear me very well when the case is on, I've used a pin to widen the hole where the Mic is, see if that helps or it's the bin for this case...

Just an FYI for everyone wondering if the One supports OTG out of the box. I just read through the User Manual and grabbed this little tidbit:
"USB storage- When you plug in an external USB storage device (such as a USB flash
drive or an SD card reader), you can view photos and videos stored on the device right from Gallery and play songs stored on the device in Music. You can also open PDFs and edit Office documents. You need a USB On-The-Go micro cable adapter to connect HTC One and a USB storage device. HTC One supports USB storage devices (except portable hard drives) up to 64 GB."

a review or two have already verified this. this will also make it easier to swallow for those who wish they had 64gb of storage as now they can purchase a card reader or OTG adapter and attach an sd card. win-win for everyone...

I had the wife saying the same thing to me the first time she rang me and i was using the free flip case i got with mine.

It wasn't until later (after much crapping myself that the phone was useless) that i realised the hole for the mic was totally covering the mic itself!

Needless to say, i don't bother with the flip case now, unless i'm likely to be watching a movie on nights at work.

I wouldn't mind but it's a genuine HTC Case, I paid 12 for mine lol

I've always used Diztronic TPU cases. They are precision made and work very nicely. I just ordered one for the HTC one.

Received this today. Pretty speedy shipping after placing the order Saturday.

Now I just need the phone.

Yes there is an adapter. Should be able to use slim cases but probably not cases like otterbox...

Good to know. I ordered from them on Sunday and it already shipped. I have the otterbox commuter case but never figured it would work with any Dock.

Cool. Well you can verify if your case will work or not.

Especially since the photos suggest that you can use it in either portrait,or,landscape mode.

I am definitely taking a pass on the HD Media Adapter,as I used a similar accessory w/my SGS3 a grand total of 1 time.

I'm a painter for the school district, I pretty much have to have at least a commuter style case or my phones would get trashed. The otterbox covers the charging port making a Dock pretty much out of the question (even if it did fit).

I may try just a clear TPU case and the dock combo on lighter duty days and weekends.

The media adapter is left over stock from last year. They didn't sell like htc hoped so they are giving these things away. It's not worth purchasing outright but people like getting gimmicks for free.

I've had the media adapter nearly a year and I've not used it other than to test it. Most people will use it a few times but will forget it quickly...

Just got two of the poetic atmosphere cases with 3 war warrenties. couldn't pass up that deal, plus they are seethrough.

I am looking for some good chargers and rugged cases I can get without spending 50 bucks for an ottorbox

I hate cases too. Especially for this phone. Who would want to hide that beautiful design? I see lots of thin clear cases but I'm going with the zagg full body. I imagine that that aluminum will start to wear and scratch over time of putting it down and picking it up off of different surfaces
just got my notice that my full body invisibleshield shipped today. Should have it when I get the phone Friday. Way to go Zagg

I also picked up the Punked Commuter otterbox for 23 bucks yesterday, shipped today. That puts me and my fiancee at 11 cases....

Every screen protector I have tried to put on comes out with bubbles and doesn't line up well.

I may have missed it but is there a home dock for the ONE yet? It would be nice to put it somewhere and safe not to mention I used it as an alarm clock.
