I got the Poetic Atmosphere case and it's nice a slim and clear enough to show everything off.

There are tons of complaints about that case on Amazon.com. I paid about $20 if not more for my Seidio case and it's not coming apart.

I've had this case (blue/clear) since the end of May (after they made the power button adjustment and some others) and I've had no trouble with the case. The blue edges are a nice subtle touch on the silver phone.

I went to Radio Shack and paid $20 for an Xentris Hard Shell case that's clear.

The case has two very thin vertical lines running parallel to each other along the back. You can't see the lines in the photo but I wish those lines didn't exist. Also, taking the case off sucks because you need to use something soft to free it from the case.

the case i use does not have this. its clear like yours but no lines. plus its easy to pop off with your fingers.

i think there are photographs of the case and a link on page one or two of this thread.

regardless, these clear cases are pretty nice though...

I'm sitting on my couch with my new Xentris clear case from Radio Shack on my HTC One. I decide to watch a youtube video and I'm thinking that I'll have to hold my phone in my hand and view any videos in that manner. I didn't feel like putting on my Seidio Active case which includes a kickstand. Then I got a little light bulb over my head. What if the outer kickstand portion was able to slide over the back of my Xentris case? I pulled the silicone sleeve from the active case and placed the kickstand portion onto the back of my Xentris case. Perfect fit my friends!

Soon after viewing this,I looked around at a few similar cases & this was the best looking one & the best price (give or take a dollar).

Got one on the way.

During a quick read I incorrectly interpreted this one.
I read the URL as "HTC One M7 Magnetic Flip Case with [MicroSD] Card Slot (Black)"
A Freudian slip of sorts, I suppose.

I've gone for the HTC battery bar :-
HTC Battery Bar Overview - HTC Accessories

You can get ones that are cheaper/offer more charge capability but I decided on the HTC's - I figured that 6000mah is plenty and being an HTC product felt confident it would be fully compatible with the One (as advertised). Having read EarlyMon's post the charge cycle of these batteries is not a simple matter - better to be safe than sorry.

The concerns noted in the article are addressed by the charging and safety circuitry in your phone.

You care more about heat.

Don't run your battery down if your phone is running hot, don't charge near freezing temperatures and if it's getting very hot while charging, shut down the phone. Those ought happen rarely.
I had a good deal from Phones4U which included £35 cash back, which left just over £10 to find so I was more than happy with that.

It's nicely made and does what HTC say it'll do - I tried it out as soon as it arrived!!. Although up to now I'm getting excellent battery life from my One my two main activities at the moment are motorcycling and hill walking, both of which can take me away from conventional charge methods for long periods whilst using a lot of battery power for GPS, Google/Route66 maps, weak mobile signal etc., and in both cases the last thing I need is my One getting anywhere near to zero battery power, in fact I've got into the habit of never letting it go below 20%.

I always purchase a holster for my phone from Seidio and an active case. However, I have gone clear with my case in order to show off my phone. I found out yesterday the holster meant for my Seidio active case works with the clear case I got from Radio Shack! Bam, less worry about dropping the phone. The holster is essentially an added layer of screen protection if the whole thing falls or something.

Pocket. I was given a holster once, but used it for maybe 2 days tops.

Can be shirt, jacket/fleece/etc or trouser pocket, depending on weather and what I'm wearing.

Photos or a quick YouTube video please? I did see a quick video on the red itkins case for the HTC One the only negative was that the reviewer said the case doesn't give you any leeway when placing the phone face down because the case is so thin. I wonder if that's an issue for the camera when resting the phone on it's backside.

Thanks for posting. I just know the biggest positive is that the case cannot be scratched. Hmmmm...I may try one out.

No. It should shut down before it reaches critical temps. Also, the aluminum is a great heat conductor, plastic is not. That is why the HTC one gets so warm, the internal heat is being absorbed by the body of the phone. On plastic phones all that heat is retained. In short, you are fine putting cases on plastic phones, the One is no different.

WOW!,That didn't take long,four days,over a holiday weekend & it's already here.

Looks nice, even better than depicted in the photos. The phone snaps right into place in the inner plastic shell, all cutouts for controls,etc...are properly aligned/positioned.

The perfect case for the occasions when you want to carry the bare necessities.Has room for three credit cards/license,etc... & room to tuck a little paper money behind the card storage area.

I may end up making this my work phone case,as I would welcome the chance to leave the wallet at home,I've got enough misc. items from work to tote around as it is.

Anyone know of a skin that will cover the phones back and sides fully?

Dropped my HTC the other day (had the extreme guard skin on it) and put a bad knick on the aluminumbumper near the power button hoping to cover this without the bulk of a case..

This probably comes closest to providing 100% coverage, coincidentally reviewed today right here @ PHANDROID:

Review: Slickwraps full body wrap for the HTC One

I like the idea behind the design, but, haven't seen one in a style that I'd put on my phone.

I like that skin but doesn't show if it covers the top or sides really..

The white between the aluminum on the silver one my gouge is basically a 1/4 inch left of the power button on the aluminum that is on the backside of the phone.

A skin won't help guard against nicks, only scrapes. Your best bet is a tpu case.

I ended up selling my damaged one with the double dip hard case + everything it came with for 420

I then bought a used but mint silver one for $500 with a clear TPU case included.

Got a cruzerlite a2 in smoke on the way too.

I dunno....

Have you checked the link on the SPIGEN website for this?

HTC One Case Ultra Thin Air | SPIGEN SGP

The YOU-TUBE video review mentions a spongy/squeaky fit, along w/no protection afforded on the top & bottom edges.

Also, it appears the cut-out for the mic on the back of the phone isn't aligned/centered.
The mic isn't covered, but, this flaw that is present on SPIGEN'S own site doesn't bode well for the quality of the case,IMHO.

Know what I hate about that case is the big Zero written on the back. WTH? The phone looks cool enough, how about just a clear case itskins without names all over the back?

Just picked up the black one for my black one. Looks sweet and certainly the thinnest case I have seen on a phone thus far. Decent scuff protection but I doubt it would do much in a fall. I like the fact that it covers the top of the phone unlike the other thin cases that leave both the top and bottom open.

Is the ghost case for itskins hard shell? I have been eyeballing the ghost and the zero cases at itskins.com.

Also, do you guys lay your phones face-down or face-up? In public the One is face-down so people go Ewww awwww. At hone the One is face-up.

How is the protection for the One while face-down and with the zero case from itskins on?

So I currently own/using the Poetic Atmosphere in Black/Clear for my Black One, but I saw this and couldn't pass it up for $1 shipped!

Thinnest Smartphone Case You Can Buy, And it's Only $1

I bought it in Orange!

Was gonna get one in the clear/opaque "color",but, all that's left ATM is ROSE RED,which is actually closer to MAGENTA.

But,I did find another case to feed my nasty accessory habit :

Black Aluminum Metal Sliding Bumper Slider Frame Case for HTC One M7 801E SB K | eBay

I got the last one in BLACK*,guessing it'll take 2-3 weeks to arrive stateside from Hong Kong.

*Back in stock,if anyone is interested.

I am hesitant about purchasing items from the Chinese. I don't want to carry around a phone cover that could be filled with mercury or lead. $1 isn't worth a life time of medical bills. I know this is a little extreme but I'm cautious. Congrats on the $1 case though. I hope it will last.

Glad I got mine when I did then! Lol, as soon as I saw the article, and saw the photos, I decided why not... it's $1 shipped and its the thinnest case! I figured I needed a colored one in addition to my all black Atmosphere case.

Yeah tell me about it. Mine came DHL from China. Only took 2 days but it cost almost as much as the case to have it shipped. Makes that $19 case almost $40 bucks. They did throw in a lanyard, nice looking pen, screen protector, and cleaning cloth. The packaging is first class. Too bad I couldn't find a US distributor. They seem to put out a quality product.

Looks really sharp. I miss the Black One. That slightly metallicized antennae insulator strip on the case is top notch.
