Default Removing social network feeds from stock Gallery App

hi
i was wondering if there was anyway to remove facebook and other social media feeds from the native gallery app?...i like a clean setup and i find it just clutters up my gallery..
i been using Quickpic app as an alternative but i kinda like the short animated sequence the stock gallery app does with the pics and the major downside of quickpic is when u use zoe it just shows up in quickpic as a whole bunch of pics and 1 video
thanks fr any help

Yes, open the gallery app. Select photos. Then select the segmented white hash in the top right corner of the screen. That should bring a setting called show/hide albums. After this deselect the Facebook feed and any other social media items you dislike.

I did take a look at it.

If you don't go and open it, it will never get downloaded. Its just a section of it at the main screen.

That works great if you go that extra level into the Gallery, but it doesn't get rid of things from Facebook on the main screen when you first launch the Gallery. That seems a bit counter-intuitive to me. I mean, if you give the option to remove it from the more specific area, why would you not also remove it from the top level of the app?

In any case, your tip was useful to me, and in hindsight was pretty obvious. No idea why I never thought to go further in there to find a setting.

Try going to APPS, ALL, then search for Facebook for HTC Sense, then disable it.
You may need to disable FB APP before you can dissable Facebook for HTC Sense.

I can't see any "show/hide albums" option anywhere in the gallery? Please can you be more specific - which "photos" are you selecting?

Thanks.

Exactly right. Gallery > Settings > Show/Hide albums

One of the improvements with 4.2.2 is that the Gallery opens straight into Albums. On mine this shows:

Camera Shots
All Photos
All Videos
All Downloads
Highlight

The Show/Hide albums option basically works how it should do now!
