Post HTC ONE Multitasking & Memory Management

How is the HTC ONE handling this?

For you EVO 4G LTE users, do you see any major differences? You cats know the EVO 4G LTE was pretty aggressive in handling these functions.

Handles it perfectly, the boost in memory up to 2gb has really took the shackles off and I don't think it's as aggressively managed now. I had the tegra 3 one x and didn't find the multitasking to be as bad as on the dual core us version but sometimes it would get a little frustrating particularly on the browser.

I was concerned about this as well. However I played with a demo unit in an AT&T store yesterday and found no "refresh" problems when multitasking.

Also, thank God they got rid of that stupid card set up.

I found the One to be very good in that aspect, light years ahead of the Note 2 or S3 for example. To be honest, I can see myself using this without any sort of app killer, at least for now.

I use an app called NQ Memory Booster and it works brilliantly. The memory hovers around 45% used.

I can now answer my own question: yes, HTC has greatly improved multitasking from the One X. App no longer refresh when you go back to them. The grid view is much more efficient than the previous card view. Overall I wish they would just use the stock version of app switching because it's perfect but this is a big step up from last year.

Default No task manager?

Maybe I'm not seeing it but I can't find a task manager that came with my new Htc one? I'm coming from an evo 3d and it was nice to close out everything at once. Anyone else know?

Nope.. the HTC task manager is not really needed.
There is one built into Android... double tap the home button and swipe the apps off the screen that you want gone.

Long press on the home button works with other jellybean phones. The task manager is accessed by tapping on the little graph icon in the lower left corner.

Ignore this for the HTC One. HTC is trying to change the android paradigm so I guess you guys will just have to rely on each other. I'll miss you.
