Default So who's taking off the IMEI sticker on the back of the HTC ONE?

I take it everybody's has it, but there is a label on the back with the "MEID DEC: 123 456 789 ..." and a barcode. Do I need to keep this on there for any reason?

Treat the label like you would the "do not remove..." label on your mattress.

If you remove it, the phone and your service will still work.

I know the phone will work, but is that number needed for any type of repair or warranty info? I see MEID# in the "about phone", but neither of those numbers match the 18 digit number on the label.

How much of a mismatch are we talking about?

Also,is there an IMEI,which if I'm not mistaken,is a similar item?

Like not even remotely close and 4 digits less. There is an IMEI # and that appears to be the same as the MEI # but with 1 extra digit at the end

Maybe keep the information in a safe location.

If your phone ever loses its mind and you call for support, you may well be asked for those values.

Default So who's taking off the IMEI sticker on the back of the HTC ONE?

I have a smoked Diztronic TPU case on my ONE and this IMEI sticker on the back of the phone is beginning to annoy me.

So the question is, who's taken it off already, and did you manage to get it off easily?

Mine immediately came off lol it's safe in the box though. There was no way that was staying on since I don't use a case
I love how everyone that sees/holds my phone can't help but praise its stylish look

The sticker can be removed or not. it is recommended to keep it on the unit in case the unit is sold to another entity or if you need warranty work done on it.

No discussion needed.

If someone needs more info, contact sprint and/or htc for further info.
