i've tried the BlackBolts keyboard and it's a pile ...... compared to the stock T9 one. Is there not a way to roll back the phone to rid myself of this disastrous update ??

Sprint had to reset my phone in order to get the PRL and profile to update. The tech guy seemed knowledgeable and said the OTA update probably did not include a file which caused the problem. He said to either download updates directly from HTC website or go to the Sprint Store to ensure you receive every file. I've never experienced a missing OTA file before, but there is a first time for everything. I don't understand why they don't have a computer that can diagnose the missing file or whatever the problem. Then install the file or resolve the issue with a phone.

However, I live in a small California town and I think my complaints about their towers being down was heard. The tower down the street from my house received the 4G LTE upgrade. No other tower has it and won't receive it for another 4 months. So I have 4G and I can thank the guy from Japan for buying 78% of Sprint.

Default Sprint update 3.05.651.5 reply

I apologize for this. We are working with HTC for this issue. Something within the software is not allowing this. There will probably be a patch to resolve these issues soon. I would recommend taking the device into a Service and Repair center as they may be able to get a work around on this. Here is the link to find the closest service and repair center near you http://www.sprint.com/storelocator www.sprint.com/storelocator. Let me know if there is anything further I can help with.

I did a factory reset last night and all is working as should now.

3.05.651.6 is now released to fix this problem

Question Updating Issues (with some codes)

Sprint, HTC One, in AZ -> 3.05.651.5 update...

* When I try to update my profile/prl/UICC Unlock: I get Error Code 1233 and some times 1012 * going on 3+ weeks and Still can't update Profile or PRL ????

* Now getting this A Lot: LTE: ESM-65535 Unable to establish a wireless data connection

* Error Code: LTE: ESM-0 No idea on this one???

* New one over the last couple of days: Sprint Default Configuration download has been interrupted. Tap Retry to try again. (I have done that at least 10 times, never finishes over either 3/4G or WiFi)

The phone works, seems fine over WiFi, 3G works (but DogAzz slow), 4G works (in the very select few spots we have 4G), takes/makes calls and texts BUT all the above issues / codes keep coming up They have come up after the most recent update...

Thoughts???

phone could be defective. hard to tell over the internet.

you can attempt to factory reset and then try to update via WIFI (NOT cellular).

if no results:

take it to a sprint shop and either:

have them swap it out

or

let them do the update there in the store.

i ASSume you are NOT rooted or s-off?

Default HTC One wont install OTA update

Hey guys I need some help with my HTC One. I tried to install 4.3 jellybean onto my HTC one via OTA, and It keeps getting stuck showing a hard disk with a red exclamation mark. Any ideas on getting it to work?

I've not rooted the device at this point.

Yeah, I installed it, and some things went wrong! (check earlier post). My status bar went black and white, and my emoticons quit working. Any way to go back from this one??

You updated to kitkat. In kitkat, all status bar icons must be white and/or grey (per google direction), which is why the battery icon is white. Not sure about the emoticons

Downloaded this update, I was hoping for a fix to the message :LTE: ESM-65535 Unable to establish a wireless data connection that I have been receiving since the Kitkat install but no luck. Havnt really noticed any differences at all.

As with any update, once you install these OTA's, you can't rollback. That's why it's wise to wait and see what's changed, if anything, from early users.

Rooting and installing a different rom is your option. If you want to root your device, there is a rooting subforum you can get info on what you need to do.

That message is more to do with the towers than the phone. Since they just completed the 4G rollout here in Grove City, Ohio I have not seen that message once.

I think before 4.4.2 (and the Sprint tweaks) that message was hidden from users. Now I get the triangle of data death...but no LTE message.
