Unhappy No MMS are being downloaded

Ive had my HTC ONE from Tmobile USA for about 5-6 mos now and out of the blue today my phone stopped notifying me of incoming MMS. Once I was informed that my boss had sent these messages to me I checked my phone and I had to go in and download these pictures. As I said before this has never happened. So once I got home I began to dig around my phone and see if something had changed in the settings that i was unaware of. My max file size is set to 1000KB and the files sent to me were 600KB so that ruled that out. So then I thought it was a memory issue with my texts messages, so i went in and deleted a lot of old stuff there. But, still nothing. I even tried Tmobiles support team, but still nothing. At this point I dont know what to do.... Can anyone help?

could be a temporary issues with the network. the phone will not just stop doing something on its own. I see these type of message a lot (no data, phone wont go to websites) and most often its the network.

test your phone with people on different networks. if you know people from other carriers, have them send you a mms message and see if the same issue is occurring.

you have attempted soft resets i am sure.

you are NOT rooted correct?

try this time to press and hold the power button until the phone shuts off and restarts, then release the button and reattempt.

are you getting conventional SMS messages? phone calls working ok?

does this issue happen when you are in a cellular area AND wifi?

are you using the stock message app or 3rd party?

Yes have tried soft resets. No I AM not rooted. Phone works fine with SMS and during calls. Have tried the power restart as well but did not resolve issues. Have not tried having someone send me something from a different provider though, didn't even cross my mind that this could be the issue. Two more things though that could be, I have been using Google Voice due to my job as our phone system is set up through this and I had to enable their Google number as my default and disable mine on my phone. But if that were the issue the other people I work with would have the same issue. I also have been using WiFi a lot lately just to safe my data so most of the time I am my messages MMS/SMS come through via WiFi. Actually my phone is set up to look for a WiFi connection and if there is a pin saved it automatically connects to it. Hope I didn't leave anything out.

sounds like google voice is the culprit. if you have it set up to default to use google voice this can influence how you receive mms. google voice does not accept mms messages only sms.

try other people who are on other carriers and compare notes. being on wifi only can also cause issues.

perhaps remove or deactivate google voice and keep cellular data on and re attempt this test.

Default MMS Problem

Okay I can't receive MMS messages for the life of me. I don't get a notification, I don't get a download, I don't get anything. It is very frustrating. I have no idea what it is or what to do. It happened out of the blue. I have a 4.2.2 Verizon HTC One stock. Thanks for the responses.

Can you send MMS? Data working. You connected to WiFi is it one carrier or all?
Do you have a lot of SMS threads?

I'm not totally sure if I can send MMS. When I do send an MMS message it says sent. I am off WiFi and on cell data and I've only used Verizon. I have a decent amount of SMS threads. I feel like it also started happening soon after I started using hangouts as my default text messaging app. I cleared defaults, but still nothing

Could be it. Send a MMS to yourself and see if it comes thru
Clear out some of those threads

I sent an MMS to myself and I did get it. My question now would be how do I get the MMS messages that I never received?

Okay I can receive MMS messages from myself, but I still can't receive then from others

Normally you don't they have to resend them. It really depends on what was preventing them to come thru. Network will cause delays those come but normally later. Apps or Google voice WiFi etc they normally just don't come in as the network shows it was received by the device but the device was blocking the MMS from actually coming in.

Are they just a specific carrier or is it anyone that sends it

I know someone having this issue with the AT&T version. The don't receive all of my mms messages. I got a message from my provider saying that the carrier may have a mms limit. When I set the cap to 600kb it seems to work. Haven't done extensive tests and it doesn't really solve the issue either.
