There probably will. We just don't know when. Is the phone rumored to come out in a few weeks going to have Sense, or is it the Nexus coming to Verizon faster than they want Droid owners to know. The problem with a phone with Sense, is that it will be slower to get updates (look at the Eris), and there are a couple of critical updates Android needs. Flash support should be soon for the Nexus and Droid. The other is hands-free bluetooth dialing. Personally, getting those as soon as possible is more important to me than Sense UI. Something to think about.

You may be right, but a question. Is it the Sense that slows the updates, or the other HTC stuff that they include with Android, (one of which is Sense), that slows the update?

Motorola's Droid is pretty much straight Android isn't it? That may be why the droid is getting upgrades faster than the Eris?

Just some thoughts...

I believe I read somewhere that Eris is getting Android 2.1 before the Droid.

You might want to take a browse through this thread:

Still Confident Bravo is coming to Verizon

There's some decent information along with a lot of speculation and people hoping just like yourself.

The HTC Passion is largely believed to have launched as the Nexus One. However, just as the HTC Dream launched after the T-Mobile G1 (both being identical phones), we're keeping the HTC Passion on the list as an additional phone/brand until the... Read More
