Just found this link on the verizon android forum, hopefully it means the bravo/passion what ever the name will be is coming soon....Please.
Just when I couldn't hate Apple any more. Either it's patented or it's not. Companies need to stop tying up technology with vague patent language. It's ruining this country on many levels. Interesting that Vodafone's release date is close to the reported Mar 23rd Verizon date. What happened to Vodafone saying it would be released in a "few short weeks"? They said that a week and a half ago, and that was 10 weeks before Mar 23rd.
I'm guessing that's a translation because the english is horrible. The one "off" detail I noticed is that the Dec HTC roadmap was detailing T-Mobile Europe release of the Bravo in April 2010. This article claims T-Mobile America.

I received a reply to my request for specs... not too much to share I am affraid:
"I don't really know much about it yet... I am sure it is not going to
have much more then the droid does. The droid's software can be upgraded
when new versions come out as well... "
So, either he aint talkin or we know more than he does. I have asked him to send me more info as soon as he has it so I will pass it along if I get anything. Good luck all.
so far since i've gotten home i've called 8 local vzw stores. most of them didn't give me any info. one said nothing right now but Moto is coming out with 10+ android phones this year and some will obviously go to VZW (which we knew). a few mentioned the N1. one mentioned the Moto Calgary and it might be coming around March. he described it as a "step down in all ways" of the Droid.
then, there was 1 place which gave me some hope. when i asked what the next android phone was going to be on vzw, without hesitating he said his HTC rep told him they will be releasing a phone in 2 months, and its definitely different than the N1. i asked him for a name or specs, but he said he wasn't given that information. the htc rep just said in 2 months. so, that was good to hear. now, on to page 2 of the local VZW stores hahaha.
Good work mcbtrain929, keep us updated. I too called a few more stores around my area and none of them were aware of anything. I spoke with verizon customer service rep who told me that they do not know about new phones until they are released, which I thought was a little odd. I had a conversation with a verizon sales rep who kinda acted like he knew something, but hesitated to share anything. When I asked, "Have you heard of the HTC Passion or the HTC Incredible?", he started out saying, "It's funny you mention that, I took a training class last month and I saw something...what did you say those names were?" I repeated them and then there is this long awkward pause like he's looking up something in the computer and then said, "No I don't know of anything...". So maybe he knew something, maybe he didn't, I guess I'll never know. Everyone keep up the good work!

That seems to make sense. I'll bet this info was a week or two old (from the HTC rep to the VZW employee) such that early-March is the time frame for release. All this vague info is starting to muddle in my head. Didn't someone say we'd start hearing info around the Superbowl and it would be out a month later? I remember reading that. January is just dragging out, and then there's still all of February to get through. Ugh.
One month earlier release date is not much of a difference. Especially, if it is going to be released like on Mar 31st. It's like, oh yeah who cares. Seriously though. If I had to bet on it, I would still think that it will come out in April. HTC's product calendar's have traditionally been very accurate. And anyway, it's just one person's blog about a carrier in Sweden releasing it. One person. Sweden. I mean. Geez. Any person can sign up for a blog. And Sweden. We're not like talking about the USA, Canada, UK, or some other highly populated country.
Um, no. If you are referring to this line " the original rumored phone will be displayed in April 2010 by the American operator T-Mobile launch.", its wrong. The original launch of the bravo was in April 2010 but it was for Tmobile Europe, not the US. They are simply looking at the pictures and murdering the english language. They probably dont knpow it was a european catalog they were looking at.
Hey, I know I'm behind in this, but I had stopped at the Verizon store yesterday to get my number changed so I asked the guy if he had heard anything about the HTC Bravo or HTC Incredible. He looked like he had never heard of the phones before (quite likely) and said no, he had heard nothing. I asked if Verizon was going to be getting any new phones. He kinda laughed and said that he hadn't heard of any. Then corrected himself and mentioned the Palm Pre and Pixi. So I asked, "but no android phones" and he said "No."
I don't think my conversation helped to do anything except confirm the fact that store reps know nothing. Figured I would add it anyways.
Ok so i called customer service to fix a problem with my bill. I asked about any new phones coming out and he told me about the pre/pixi.
Then i asked if he had heard about the nexus one coming and he had. I mentioned how t-mobile will not let you use the phone on a family plan. He said verizon would never do that. I also said that the phone is only available through google.com and is not available in the stores. He said once again they would never do that and it would be on display in stores.
So ya... customer service doesnt know jack.

Couldnt be since this site lists the screeen resolution as 320X480 which is the resolution for a 3.0" or 3.2" screen. He stated that the screen was the same as the Nexus One, which as we know is 3.7" and 800X480.

According to the HTC Portfolio brochure, HTC is currently planning on releasing 9 new handsets in the first half of 2010 (5 Android phones and 3 Windows Mobile). In addition to dividing the phones up by operating system, HTC has created four different categories to help differentiate their upcoming phones. We've put together the table below to better help visualize how things will play out and we've added the scheduled release date in there as well for good measure.

Good point. All this talk about the Bravo coming out earlier than April is just wishful thinking from the teenage nerds.
Okay a little nugget...Tonight my cell phone service went down, so I called Verizon to file a trouble ticket. When troubleshooting my phone the rep noticed that I will be available for my new every two next week. I said yeah but I'm waiting for the HTC phone that's not the Nexus..the one you can't tell me about yet. She said yeeeeeahhh......and then stopped herself....for a second I thought she was going to spill the beans....and then said we don't have information on upcoming phones. So, That was just a tidbit I thought I would mention.

Haha...maybe Wed will yield more than just Apple news!
Well just so I can say I kept my word, I went to a few Verizon Stores today and asked around about some Bravo info and unfortunately as we all have found out, the Verizon Reps for the most part don't know jack. Really depressing actually.
I actually called come Cellular Sales offices as well, no solid info but one of the guys said "I can't officially say anything but your best bet are the chat forums, their info seems to be very accurate right now." Take that for what it may mean for some hope.
Im telling you though guys, I may need an intervention to keep me from getting the Eris if HTC doesn't put something good on on the 16th. I am reaching my limit.

just a few days to go untill it explodes on this forum.
I cant tell you how bad I hope your right radio. This is getting tiresome. I don't post much, but read it all. I get tired of all the bashing cause its just like the airlines. A bunch of educated and knowledgeable (in theory) individuals acting like 3 year olds. It just lame. But I really hope your right man.

you already have the information and will be releasing it in a few days, or you will be meeting your contact for more info in a few days? will this for sure be released in a few days, or is that your "guess" ? either way, me likey .
Well, it's the end of the month. Guess what?! Nothing new! No HTC Bravo is out yet. So much for the hi-count posters pretending to be insiders, when they are really just a bunch of nerds sitting behind a keyboard hoping that this device is coming to their carrier.

Being that the Bravo isn't supposed to be released till April why would you expect it to be out now? Especially since thats what everyone said. I mean you did bother to read the posts your botching and whining about right?

I don't. Nashdroid has been out on other threads weeks ago spreading rumors that it's coming out in January. All bullsheet.
