so what all do we think will be announced at MWC? seems like the bravo is the most popular, possibly the supersonic announcement (or just another lame 4g router), anyone thinking att will announce something?
i thought i read a post on the homepage bout tmo getting mighty fine close to bein broke, i dont really see any announcemnts from them if that's the case.... what else do we see coming next week?

I honestly don't think we'll hear anything, about the version of the HTC Bravo that is coming to Verizon, next week. I think we'll hear about the Bravo, but Verizon, in my opinion, will be the one to announce the Incredible. That's just my theory though.
i too am thinking this route... what about the likelyhood of the supersonic? this is more relevant to me lmao god i want that phone just for the cpu and the screen. ill prob turn sense ui off since it comes 2.1, i really like the 2.1 gui and it'll have the facebook thing that i want.
i see these two phones as being possible announcements at MWC, but i think we all know there will be wayyy more tech at that convention than just 2 phones... what else will be released android wise? any bets/guess/hypothesis/dreams?

I've actually gotta head downtown. I will be on later perhaps. I just wanted to say Boomer Sooner, real quick. I'm originally from Oklahoma.
So, I guess the real question is: Who is Verizon looking out for primarily? I'd say they're looking out for #1. So, that's why I'm thinking that Verizon will put their next HTC phone (the Bravo/Incredible?) on the front burner and the Nexus One will be an after thought that will be released afterwards by Google. Sure, the Nexus One will be using Verizon's network, but that's really all that it will be doing. So, I can't see Verizon putting much effort into it at all, if any, and their next big focus will be on their version of the Bravo, which I happen to believe will be called the "Droid Incredible."
Brilliant Nash. I don't mean to add some more salt. ..I know we're in an android forum, and I'm in total agreement that Android is superior to the Apple's os. But the marketing appeal is still THE most competitive to date. Jobbs even announced that Apple is the leading mobile telephone manufacturer. My point is that The Iphone 4G is somewhere in the mix, and there might be by-standards on those hypothetical contracts regarding the release of the Iphone 4G. I would have so loved it if the Bravo had just been released Black Friday... There would be no grand delusion that Apple is superior to all by the unethical "High and Mightiest" and remove speculation as to the comparisons of two (Bravo, & Iphone 4G) future smartphones.
Who wants tequila and Lime now with that salt? ?
I think it's clear the floodgates will open next week at MWC. I think the hush-hush has mostly been at HTC's request. Why else would they be scheduling a press event, if not to announce something big?

Here's what I've been thinking MIGHT happen. Sure, the Nexus One is coming to Verizon. We know that, Google knows that and Verizon knows that. However, I don't think Verizon has any plans, or would be expected to, give the N1 ANY priority at all. Sure, it will be working on their network, but from the looks of the sales numbers from the N1, letting it be on Verizon's network is more of a favor to Google than it is to Verizon.
So, what I'm trying to say is that I don't think Verizon is really paying much attention to the N1. It will kinda take care of itself, as Google is the one doing all of the upkeep, if you will, on that phone. With that said, I think Verizon's primary focus is on their internal phone lineup (phones that will be sold subsidized by them.) That leads me to believe, in theory, that they have a great Android phone in the works and that the Nexus One will not have any effect on that phone coming to market whatsoever. Now...do I think they'll release at the same time? No. That would just be silly and it would just piss Google off. I'm sure there is something in the contract for the Nexus One on Verizon that states that it have it's own release time apart from any other phones.
Now...the questions are: Will the Nexus One release first? Because, if it does it will effect the sales of whatever phone Verizon brings out shortly thereafter that is very comparable, but arguably better, than the Nexus One. The other question is: Will the Nexus one come out after Verizon's new HTC Android phone? Because if this happens, then pretty much no one (in my own personal opinion) would want a phone (the Nexus One) that is slightly inferior, in a few key areas, than the phone that was previously released and subsidized through Verizon.
Those are my personal standing opinions on what could possibly happen. I, however, have no inside information. Just my personal thoughts. So take them with a huge grain of salt, but at least it's food for thought.
I agree. Makes sense. As far as the actual release timing,
the HTC Hero was released around July, 2009 in Europe and it didn't get to the US on Sprint untiil October 2009 and then Verizon until November, 2009. I hope the same doesn't happen for the Bravo and it gets released here at the same time or soon after Europe. I guess the difference now is that the Droid has increased the popularity of Android in the US greatly so it makes sense to release it sooner rather than later in the US. Any thoughts/speculation on this?
Yeah, I see what you're saying, but I think now that Android is Verizon's #1 priority (where it wasn't back when the Hero came out and then Verizon finally went all-out with Android) they won't be the last to have things Android ever again.
i wish i could say the same for sprint... i reallllly do
Yeah, I hear ya. I think that, unfortunately, when a wireless carrier like Sprint is doing so poorly financially and then finally decides to undercut everyone else, plan-wise, they lose a lot of their bargaining chips when it comes to phones or anything else for that matter. I've noticed that lately. Don't get me wrong, Sprint gets some nice phones, but it seems like something has to be wrong over there, because with their dirt cheap simply everything plans, you'd think EVERYONE would be on Sprint, but they're not. Financial problems can make a desperate company resort to almost ANYTHING to stay a float, and I'm afraid that Sprint lost a lot of clout when they made a desperate move.
However, they ARE rumored to be getting the Supersonic, which should be the first 4.3" HTC Android phone. So...they're not doing THAT bad really.
I found another funny story written by the same guy who's Hero fell in the toilet. For those that didn't see the first one I mentioned, you can find it here. Both are a little long, but funny as heck.
and it looks like its 3.2!!! or 3.5 at best!!!! it looks like the freakin eris!! From the front anyways!!!
It should be just like the HTC Bravo, form-factor wise. I'm going to get those pictures and take them into Photoshop and see if I can lighten them up so I can see the buttons. Be back shortly.

That makes sense. I hope so too. Maybe we are closer with all the new leaks today.

It looks like the same size as the Motorola DROID screen, to me, and I've been around the Droid a lot lately. I have to respectfully disagree and say that there is no way that it's 3.2. It's at least 3.5, but I'm thinking 3.7 like the droid.

There's no way with the nexus 1 and droid out there that they are bringing something out less than 3.7"
It would be even more ******ed than anyone thinks VZW could be.

yah its not that i dont realize that releasing a 3.2 would be stupid... its just that i see a lot of extra wasted space on that sucker that is not screen
Oh yes, I forgot about that article. Yep...I'm gonna say 3.7" almost for sure then. If this thing has a 3.7" AMOLED, geez...this thing WILL be incredible, and if it has an AMAZING battery life, man...I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

guy are you kidding? you are a fool and nothing you have said actually came to fruition in the past. furthurmore many of the things you claimed later on had already been known since the roadmap was leaked all while saying you were genuine..genuine about what may i ask???? ive been reading these forums for quite some time now and felt compelled to join after reading your last post. at this point most people really dont care what you have to say i would think. they are happy now that they know something is surely coming out and are fairly certain that it wont be shoddy spec wise. hopefully, for your sake, with your last post you gain a shred of credibilty cause you sure as hell need it.

so what you are trying to say is that the bravo in the roadmap, and all the leaked pics that say they are the bravo are indeed not the bravo??? wow news you have an awesome contact... living the life on the far edge of insanity.

Oh my God! I just about shit my pants on that one! HILLarious!
I'm thinking MOST of us don't care about UK.
anyways, i'm sure you mean it has a flash and not flash in the browser......
Again, a slight chin on the UK bravo doesn't factor in to my decision making for a phone in the us so thanks.
we should start a uk bravo thread so you can post info to those who care.

FWIW, I'm almost positive today I saw a leaked pic of an HTC phone with a chin (yes, a NEW phone). Wireless sync with iTunes will be nice if it comes to fruition. I know you can get software to sync iTunes podcasts and playlists to Android but still....someone help me out, I can't find that new pic with the chin...
