We've now seen a working video of the the Incredible, but nothing for the Bravo yet. What if Big Red and HTC are simply 'holding off the dogs' until the LTE network is ready (supposedly first 30 cities will be ready by early 3rd quarter), and then they'll release the Bravo as their first phone on their LTE/4G network. I know it sounds sort of crazy, but what if... Something to get the gears turning.

You're correct in that the specs we've seen (which are all SPECulation [couldn't help myself, sorry ]) don't support LTE. But until a formal FCC filing is seen, anything could happen. I'm just thinking we haven't heard anything about any LTE phones yet from Big Red, and they spent a TON of money getting the bands to support LTE. And like any business, they need to start recouping some of that money sooner rather than later. So with the Incredible coming soon, and the Bravo expected to compete against the N1, the Bravo would have a huge leg up if it could sit on the LTE network (which is the Rev C band in the 700 MHz spectrum). At a technology briefing last year, VZW explained it as not being a major change in the radios to support LTE. I'm not an EE, so I have no idea what would be involved - just relaying what I heard. I know on one hand it seems pretty far fetched, but on the other, it really doesn't...

I'll raise you the 3.7" screen and say that the Bravo will have a removal battery, have multi-touch browser and google maps, and have google buzz integrated! Then all of you can kiss my ass when you see that I was right! I will be meeting my insider source next Tuesday and I will know more then! Stay tuned as I will be providing a very important tidbit very soon (hint: there is a hidden micro sd card inside the bravo which you will have to drill the screen to take out, but we don't know what it's supposed to do yet!) Stay tuned for my exclusive news only for you!

No seriously, we gotta stop feeding the troll. He is loving all this attention even if it's negative. That's what happens when you are neglected by your parents.

speak english, then you may make sense,

oh i cant wait for the pics to be leaked, probley have headline like, htc bravo has chin, but usa has no jay leno, you guys dont realise how much info i get, why would i risk pics, its my job, the idea is for me to prove you guys that i know the info, then you will know the latest info, stop being negative, because i can tell you now, i have the details.

do you not understand how much phones change? like i said i got my info in december, i now have new info (thats why im back posting) im not guessing, the uk bravo has a chin,no one else has leaked it, but it will be next week. if you dont think phones change, then your ignorent, and if you dont understand how a road map works, then your even worse. RANT OVER, lets get positive, and when the bravo is released with the chin, you all may start realising that its worth me posting.

you know what newsradio, even if your right, I still think your one of the biggest dicks I have ever seen on a forum. your so full of yourself it's sickening. you are such an attention whore you are just praying that one of your predictions will come true so that everyone will listen to you. well, hate to break it to you but just because people may listen to you doesn't make you any less of a dick. if you have info just post it or stfu! because so far nothing you have posted is in the least exciting or interesting. so effing what if the uk phone has a chin, who gives a rats arse about some facebook integration, whatever. I am just so sick of listening to your upitty, I know more than you, look at me attitude. you act like my 7 year old when company comes over, jumping all around trying to be the center of attention. go back to you hole troll, and I will just wait till someone credible posts info.

Sorry everyone else, had to get that off my chest. I'm done now

lol you are pretty annoying. all your posts say the same thing.

And really if nothing that you say comes true (which we'll find out next week), then someone should just ban your ass because you're the biggest troll i've ever seen on the internet.

But if you're right, then you're right.

Dammit... isn't it MWC yet?

At this point, I don't particularly care who is right or wrong - I just want some reliable information about what the spec of the various phones are so I can make an informed decision about whether to get one of these or a Nexus One!

Default HTC Press Conference at MWC Scheduled

There is an article on HTC Source (HTC schedules press event on February 16th at Mobile World Congress) stating they saw a .PDF version of a German invite to the HTC press conference at MWC set for February 16th at 10:30 AM Barcelona time (GMT+1), which would be 4:30 AM on the east coast (GMT-5). Not sure how that impacts the HTC, O2, QualComm press conference. The article's writer also makes reference to the fact that HTC has 3 WinMo devices that are supposed to drop in the first half of the year, but that number is overshadowed by the 5 Android devices that are supposed to drop by July... I just want something to get announced, not dropping my LG Voyager for a Droid has been killing me!!! My NE2 came up in October, and this has been SOOOO difficult to wait for. It hope it will be worth it in the end...

Judgement day tomorrow for all the usual suspects,I'm hoping the passion, bravo, incredible, are all launched, the one thing to notice is if the bravo and passion will be the same or will they be completely different?

Will there be any leaks today? Whatever happens I think this forum will be busy.

Exclusive news. UK is not called the bravo, its called DESIRE.
you heard it here first.

The pictures of the HTC Desire that you can find on Google appear very much to be images of what has previously been known as the HTC Legend.

New Android HTC Desire shows up in pics | News | TechRadar UK

Not saying you're wrong mind - HTC could just be pissing about with product names in a move designed to confuse us!

Hope that we get the Passion and the Legend (although possibly under different names), as its nice segregation of the market. The legend only has the 600Mhz CPU and 256Mb of RAM from what I've seen floating round on the 'net about it. I'll stand to be corrected if anyone else has other information though!

Beautiful! And it seems the rumours of 256MB RAM were false, as it one ups the Nexus with 576MB.

I hope this is released here, and soon!

The instant they release that thing, I'm buying one.

It shall be mine. Oh yes. It shall be mine.

PS - nice heads-up on the name change DreamAngelzz. Seems HTC ARE just playing at silly-buggers with the names.

Where did you manage to sneak this information from if you don't mind my asking? I'm not bothered in the slightest, as the 'Do want!' factor on that thing is stratospheric, mjust curious where you found it out?

Do you, by chance, work in the industry?

Also, the 'Desire' name is quite fitting.

If anyone can get their hands on one of these to send to me, I've got my granny going spare....

... any takers?

I was trying my best to decline comment on the rather spectacular picture.

Maybe she's one of the booth-babe models HTC have gotten in to look all sensually at the new phone in Barcelona?

Maybe she's one of the booth-babe models HTC have gotten in to look all sensually at the new phone in Barcelona?
ah, you know the best part is when you tell your wife that your "just reading forums on cell phone technology" and she happens to look over your shoulder and sees that picture. "yah right, good one!"

What will happen to the Incredible then? I am liking the Desire it blows the N1 and Incredible out of the water if it is handled through Verizon like a normal phone would be.

No contradiction...that Desire based on its specs doesn't look like a Verizon phone. So...Desire to TMo/UK (looks a LOT like whatshisname described) and then Incredible in the US.

Looking at the picture correctly and when that was posted. That would be the Droid Eris the person is holding..not the HTC Desire.

When you say "based on its specs" are you referring to the signal frequencies? If so, that's likely because only Euro/Asian frequencies have been released. No love for those of us States-side. My suspicion: the companies are still bidding in for who gets it. I suspect there IS no confirmed US carrier yet, beyond that there will be one. I'm betting we'll hear something to that effect tomorrow at their conference.

Live from HTC's MWC 2010 press event -- Engadget

Everything has been announced now, including a mini HD2, but thats a WinMob phone, so not too fussed.

Engadget might have hands-on soon.

Bad news people in the US:

HTC Desire: your Nexus One with Sense and Flash has arrived -- Engadget

Seems that there might be a few kinks to work out, although I suspect most people on here would be dropping the Cyanogen mod on this bad-boy anyway:

HTC Desire first hands-on -- Engadget

Basically, carriers cannot release this damn thing fast enough for my liking!
