I emailed seidio a few days ago asking if they had plans to make a case for the rezound. They told me that it depends on the demand and popularity of the device and that my request has been forwarded to product devlopment. Maybe it would help if more people sent emails to them. I love the seidio cases, I have used one on my last few phones. The otter box defender case is a really big case and the only one that they make with a belt clip. Anyone know of a quality case with a belt clip for the rezound? Other than the one that verizon sells? Doing electrical work, I am worried that while in a crawl space the phone would slide out of the case without me feeling it. This case issue has been keeping me from pulling the trigger.

Yea, I'm leaning towards getting a cheapy and waiting for seidio to release something. Those otterboxes look giant

The rubber is also somewhat of a dust magnet, as you can see by the pics....

Yea that is exactly what I figured... the otterbox commuter looked a bit smaller though they still can't touch seidio in form and functionality (imo)

So I'm taking it the rezound does not share perfect battery compatibility with any other device like my incredible and the Evo did? I cant find any info anywhere on this. I threw my stock incredible battery in the trash after I got 2 stock Evo batteries.

What about the sensation, sensation xe or amaze? They aren't compatible?

I really don't get why so many people like Otterbox's. While they do provide great phone protection, they also in turn, turn your phone into a brick. That thing above now looks like the OG iPhone.

Just a quick note, I was on HTCPedia's site just now and the 1700mAh and 1800mAh batteries for the Rezound are no longer on the site. Either it was a mistake by their web people, or maybe since those batteries are 3.7V you get the triangle with the ! in the notification bar. No matter what the difference in capacity wouldn't have made a lot of difference in battery life, so probably no loss there.

Now I'm just trying to decide if I want to go with that 2750 or not. I usually use TPU cases and the ones for extended batteries are basically a standard case with the area for the extended battery cut out. I understand that way they don't have to remanufacture a new case, but I could do the same thing with a standard case and an X-acto knife and save myself $15.

If you've got a sharp knife and a steady hand, it won't look any worse than what they're offering.

The point I was trying to make is that if you're investing in a case, it should cover the phone, not just the sides. That's why (other than helping with the signal) I can't see the point for the "bumpers" that they had for the i4. The glass back is fragile, so why wouldn't you make a case that protects that? To me it just looks like they stretched a livestrong band around it. If I remember correctly, some people did just that and cut out a spot for the dock connector.

Sure, we're happy to help and provide information! We don't have any firm ETA's but I would say probably late December.

I was going to make a separate thread, but it's somewhat an "accessory".

Has anyone tried using Netflix or Hulu plus on their Rezound yet? I'm considering killing my Netflix account and going to Hulu plus. I'm curious how much 720p content is available on Hulu Plus.

Oh and maybe we should have a separate sticky for Rezound apps and reviews...maybe my 720p thread could be stickied...COUGH COUGH..... heh

Well It certainly can be a catch all for all 720/HD discussion..... If it is popular (ie stays at top) then I'd say sure... Would like to see some good discussion in there

I'm debating on getting Hulu Plus but I want to see if they have 720p content. From what I was reading, if you have a .edu email address they'll give you 1 month free. I have 2....hmmm

So I saw Steinheil mentioned for a screen protector and I've used Zagg before (shield finally showed up for Rezound). I bought a cheapie but am tempted to not even try it. Love the feel of it nekkid but I'm a klutz and really don't want to to do anything to the screen.

So Steinheil vs. Zagg . . . which do you prefer?

Steinheil gets my vote. By far the best I've ever used. I have not tried a Zagg so I'm not really a good source. I went naked on my Dinc for over a year and have fallen in love with that no protection feeling. I might try a Steinheil when they come out with one.. but likely will run my baby natural.

I bought at an official verizon store and they did have a kickstand case. I think it was this one or one that is very similar. HTC Rezound Extended Battery Kickstand Case & Holster

I never really liked cases and barely use them after a week. I can say that the kickstand does work well but is hard to open/close and I feel like it will break eventually. Also, the case adds a decent amount of weight and a lot of thickness. It does however fit the extended battery which makes me want to get one.

Also, what do you guys want to stream off your phone? I can't really think of any use I would have for it.

I saw that holster but it was a PITA to pull that kickstand out and then I saw a very small plastic piece that I knew would be the first thing to break on it. I just decided to get the Otterbox.

Netflix connected to an HDTV would be nice. I just activated the Rezound and I must say that I'm disappointed that Hulu Plus won't work. I'm betting they have it disabled because they don't want the Rezound to use their video out to stream to a TV. I'm not sure why you'd bother offering live streaming TV shows only to limit an HDMI out of your content. Oh well.

Default Custom Made HTC Rezound Dock?

Has anyone hit up n2airz (John) to make a Custom Made Dock for the Rezound yet. I have one for my HTC Incredible. I am trying to get him to make one for me for my Rezound. And Does anyone know if you could get a dock like this to make the phone go into Dock Mode like the HTC Rezound Charging Dock. I have an extended battery and a Silicone case with the back cut out. It does not fit in the dock anymore. I don't really want to take the case off each time I charge it.

Loved N2airz docks for the Incredible. I followed that thread from its inception

Also I know this user: Android Forums - View Profile: CM67 makes custom docks. Check out his work at his site here: Smartphone Docks That Work With Cases and Extended Batteries!!! Free USPS Priority Shipping on Orders Over $50 USA ONLY

I have a sample of his work that I just received, waiting to hear from him about availability of Rezound docks before I start posting pics of mine.

The verizon I bought my Rezound out had the Holster case with kickstand, I tried it for a couple days but it was real uncomfortable digging into my side and I think the kickstand would have broken.

I returned it for the Otterbox case that they just got in stock. Only thing I hate about otterbox's are that I litteraly had to file and shave down the part where the 3.5mm audio jack is so mine could fit.

And the fact that no docks or anything fit now.

So your headphones could fit? Do the beats fit it? Ill probably take my phone out of the case often so I dont think it'll post an issue for me.

I dont know I didnt try and plug them in before I filed it down, they are still in the box.

I use a 3.5mm cable for my car to listen to music and it would get stuck and not seat all the way.

I hate taking it out of the case if I dont have too. Im real picky about the screen and plastic shield making sure nothing is in between them when I put the case back together.

I found no problem with the beats or my S4s with decent clearance on both sides. How big is that car adaptor? Oh and looking at the connector from the back it looks like its not seated all the way, but I confirmed that it is secure.

And I agree about wanting to leave it in the case, but sometimes I just want to play with my naked phone.....err wait whut?

This is why I'm waiting eagerly for Seidio to come up with an Innocase. Their cases are so sleek and perfectly formed. I feel that the Otterbox does protect well, but it is far too clunky.

You'll get no argument out of me with respect to the otterbox. One thing the guys at seidio can do is check out the button setup on the otterbox, they transform the rezound's buttons into a thing of beauty.

Nothing like seeing the battery icon turn yellow and having a fully charged battery waiting in the wings. The spare battery is definitely something to consider. I just hope that the back cover is durable enough to swap out batteries from time to time.

Yup, that will be my plan once they become more available. I had a slick setup with my Incredible with two 1800maH batteries and a wall charger that the battery clicked right into, so I always had an extra fully charged battery, similar to this:
HTC EVO 4G SPRINT 2x1800 mAh Battery+Dock USB Charger | eBay
I'd just swap the batteries every 2 days... never had to plug my Incredible in

That's how I'm set up now, but 2 standard batteries. The Thunderbolt charger charges the phone without issue as far as I can tell although I threw in a battery that I charged a couple of days ago and it was slightly below a full charge. Not sure if that's just due to the fact that the battery was sitting for a couple of days idle.

On another note, Amazon app store has Documents to go free today if you need your fix of Microsoft Office/etc.

Well got my case in the mail today from htcpedia. I'm pretty happy with the look of it. My only small complaint is that I ordered this on the 11th, they shipped it on the 14th, it's time of arrive was supposed to be the 17th, but I didn't get it until today the 21st. A week seems a bit long even for standard shipping but I suppose that's more the post office then them so no worries. Looking at these pics I still find it hilarious that some people call this phone thick or a brick. It looks so small to me, but then again I'm 6'2" and 240lbs so maybe that has something to do with it. Ehhh.

Pretty nice case BT. I thought when they said it was a snapon that it was the 2 piece plastic ones like the Incredible had. But it looks like this snaps around the phone. The only reason I may stay with my TPU case is it sticks a little bit past the screen, so with a face down drop the screen never actually comes into contact with a flat surface. Does your case keep the screen off of a table when placing it face down?

Yeah this one seem to be about flush with the screen. I always knew I planed on getting more than one case so this will be my show off case and I will wait and see about one that looks nice and does what you said as well.

I wonder why all these cases dont have holes for the 2 mics on the back but have one for the side Mic.

that is if all 3 are additional mics
