Default Quicker web page rendering due to processor?

Do web pages load quicker due to the processor, or is the network the limiting factor? In other words, should this provide a faster web browsing experience than my Thunderbolt? - comparing 3G to 3G and 4G to 4G

The processor does play its part, but the browser software (google) and UI enhancements(manufacturer) play a bigger role when it comes to cell phones. Googles browser speed and smoothness going from 2.3.4 to 2.3.5 is significant. Thats really the only thing (2.3.5) I wish HTC would have gotten into the Rezound before launch.

Needs some better java mun!
