Default Music over Bluetooth, clear sound, no bass

Been lurking for a while and learned a lot of cool things but one thing that has be stumped is streaming music over BT from my Rezound. My OG droid did it fine and sounded a lot better. The Rezound is Very clear but I have absolutely no low end (bass). Before I go ripping my dash apart to get to the actual USB hook up on the back of my headunit will this even make a difference in sound if I hard line it to the USB. Am I missing a setting somewhere because I tried to look all over and have found nothing to help at this time. I have a system in my truck and get no low end response with the Streaming. I tried using Slacker and my own audio files I added with no luck. My own audio files come out correct when using it through my ipod so its something within the phone.

Just speculation here, the audio might be dialed down (deep bass) because there is no physical headphone jack connection, thus beats doesn't come on. Maybe with Beats turned off, they dialed back the bass extensively so that when you had beats on, it sounds more robust. What you might try doing is see if you can plug in a pair of headphones to allow the Beats EQ setting, but push the sound to the bluetooth device. Maybe it'll trick the phone into leaving Beats on, or does the beats EQ kick in with a stereo bluetooth connection?

Well since it probably wont work at all on the usb I wouldn't rip anything apart. Your phone has to mount as a disk drive to work like an mp3 player and since your phone probably wont recognize your deck as a computer or vice versa it will just charge not play music, unless there is some setting somewhere I am unaware of that turns your phone into a mp3 player, or perhaps you have a fancier deck than my Alpine. I would recommend one of the many equalizer apps on the market and see if that helps, I have one I believe is just called equalizer and I can get too much bass out of it and I like alot of bass.

I will have to try it with the beats earphones plugged in a see what happens but that would kind of be a negative feature if I have to keep with me at all times in the vehicle. How much could the reg EQ tone back the frequencies that travel over? I doubt my OG droid has a better EQ set-up however I see what you are saying.

As far as I can tell Beats does not activate when going over to bluetooth audio.

Kane I will check out the different apps but I want to make sure the phone isn't having problems itself. Can you see how yours sounds with just the stock eq set-up sometime? That would help out a lot.

I would but I dont have the Bluetooth module for my deck, I got like the first alpine with full ipod display/control and you have to buy a seperate box for bluetooth. I use the headphone plug for my deck, have you tried the headphone jack with beats turned off? I would imagine that should sound the same, if it doesn't you may have a problem.

If you can EQ, you'll have to bump up the first 2 sliders on the left. Could be a few things. Maybe Impedance?

So i figured it out and it was my own doing. Just in case anyone has this issue and has an aftermarket head unit with BT make sure in the setting of the headunit is set to All Speakers. I never use BT for phone calls and my truck is loud so I turned off the all speaker settings a year ago and kept it at using only the fronts. I noticed there was no output at all from the rears and for some reason it just popped in my head about the setting.

Now speaking of BT is there anyway to keep the phone calls from going to BT mode, I would prefer to just use it to stream and not have phone calls come through my speakers.
