Default With Rezound at 49.99 Considering but have a couple of questions if you could help.

I currently have the Thunderbolt and have had issues in the past couple of months. I have received two replacement phones and now see I can transfer an upgrade on my account and get the Rezound for 49.99. My questions:

1. The rezound has a 16 gig SD card installed. Can I just use my 32 gig card from my Thunderbolt which has all my apps, pics text back up etc in the rezound. I don't want to start all over on a new phone. I can't find out if the Rezound can handle 32 gig card.

2. If I do get the phone would it be as simple as putting my 4G sim card and 32 sd card in the new phone and activate to get started?

3. Has anyone else upgraded from the thunderbolt to this phone and is it that much better?

Thank you so much for any replies, I need to decide soon as the sale won't last long.

You should have no problems at all and the upgrade for 49.99 is awesome. You will be very happy with the Rezound, I know I have. Your sim and memory will install in the phone and then the activation and you would be all set.

I am also in a similar position as the OP.

I currently own a Droid X and since Gummy was put out for us, I fell in love with my phone again. I've never owned a phone this long... The dev support has been great despite a locked bootloader.

Anyway, for $50, plus my $30 NE2, it makes this phone a steal (esp if I plan on selling those Beats headphone). But I'm so tempted to wait for HTC One X (the Verizon variant) to come... who knows how long that'll be... But I'm dying to get on 4G....

Attention Californians:

California law requires retailers to charge sales tax on the full retail price of the Rezound (and all other new cell phones).
In other words, you won't pay sales tax on $49.99. You'll pay sales tax on $699.
Total rip off.
Buy on Amazon and pay no sales tax.

It's the same for people who live in Mass as well. Though with this price it was still cheaper to buy from verizon with the tax then the price on Amazon. I ordered one for my wife last night and ended up paying $37 in tax.

This may be biased, but I have had better luck with the droid bionic. I guess it depends on what you want in a phone.

I love my droid x as well, if it was 4g I would have kept it...

Best advice is to set a couple of hours aside and play with the phones at the store. The rezound does have great specs! But the bionic has webtop which is as close to free legal tethering as you can get. The screen on the rezound is far better! It all depends on what you want. In my opinion the bionic is faster even though it's processor is 1 gig. You shouldn't have to root a rezound to get more speed, the sense user interface is very pleasing to the eyebut heavy on resources in my opinion.

All these phones have their goods and bads amd lemons as well. Just do your homework! Once your two weeks is up? You will lose most of the resale values! In other words, get a phone you know balls to bone you're going to stick with cuz these androids have terrible resale value because the market is flooded with mint condition used ones...

I updated to the Rezound from a Thunderbolt and I love it. It's lighter and faster. I have a 32 gb card in mine too. I have not had any problems with mine at all and the battery life is much better. I used Appbrain to backup and then reinstall my apps on the Rezound. I do like the Beats Audio too. It's a great deal on a great phone.

With the price of the Rezound cheaper, are they still including Beats by Dre ear buds?

I've had my Rezound since Thursday after upgrading from the DInc. Beats is overrated but I do love the phone. Would be nice to actually have 4g here, though lol!

Yeah I'm in California and my tax was more then the phone but don't think its on $700. Think its tax on $199 but we get hit with special cell tax rates. I had California state tax and California local state tax LOL was around $56 in tax but weeeeeell worth it. Love this phone coming from a Droid x with liberty gb/froyo.

I bought one for my son yesterday since he has been wanting a smartphone. I live in Missouri and my sales tax was $3.37. I glad I was just taxed for the $49.99. This was a sweet deal!

I got it for free using my $50 that is given to me by Verizon for renewal. Unfortunately that is the last time I will ever get it. But for free it's a steal, especially with the specs on this phone....just wound up paying $44 for a case, car charger and glass protector. I hate paying $200 to 300 for a phone, with a new every 2 at that. It's getting ridiculous.

I hopped on this deal, the phone just got delivered to the house. I really don't think you can beat this deal, with these specs AND the ibeats? If you are eligible for an upgrade get this phone.

I got on this deal too and just joined the forums to meet other Rezound owners. I had been patiently waiting to upgrade my original D Inc and was planning to get either the Inc 4G or the Galaxy S3 but I couldn't pass up such a great deal. Part of the reason I was able to justify the purchase was cause of the rumors that ICS was imminent. Well, the rumored date has come and gone with no update so I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake.. =/

It's amazing how many of us went from DInc to Rezound. Not a bad choice at all, especially considering the recently released DInc 4g stats.

Got mine for free with a 50.00 credit from VZW. Last for that as I see as of the 22nd they are going to start charging to 30.00 to upgrade to a new phone plus the cost of the phone. Will it never end with these guys. As for the new phone. What a steal. I have the Gnex and I like the Rezound just as much. I will say thought that ICS is a better OS. When the Rezound gets ICS if it ever does it will be nice. Again if the update does not screw up what is already good. It has a better radio than the Gnex for sure right now. That could change after the update of the ICS OS.Also the volume is much better. Gnex is poor on volume and I have tried all I know to do to fix it. Everybody says Volume + but it did not do it for me. But if you can get that Rezound for 50 to free jump on it if you have an upgrade coming. do it before the 22nd or you are going to get it for 80 not 50 due to that new fee announced today.

[rant]Comparing a Bionic to a ReZound is like comparing a V6 Mercedes C-class to a twin-turbo AMG. You're joking right?

If HTC Sense is the equivalent to the 155MPH limiter on the ReZound just take it off. [Root, Flash, done.]

There is no Sense taking the ugly ducking that is the Bionic [which even Motorola couldn't love and has abandoned for the RAZRs] when you could have the ReZound which is the best Android phone on the market to date (YES, Galaxy Nexus, I am looking at you with all your AMOLED-Pentile, 5MP crappy camera, no Micro-SD having compromising ways).

The only reason I don't have at least one ReZound in my hot little hands is that I've had a rooted Thunderbolt without any hardware issues for the last 6+ months and I missed Amazon Wireless .01 cent holiday sale and I can't bring myself to pay more for my 6th (4th HTC) phone.

You can bet though, unless a Verizon version of the EVO "One" 4G LTE is announced (and soon) my EVO LTE will have a ReZound baby brother on the way in short order.

The Bionic should have been called the Amputated and webtop is a party trick that even the OG EVO can pull off: [video proof Using the Evo like the Atrix - YouTube ]

^ oooh that might become a $2k phone - then they can build even bigger and brighter phones!!
Hmm... you made me look up Verizon stores in LV. I think there are more handbag/purse stores there than phone stores
