Why put a case on that sexy thing? Unless you're a dropper, there is not much need, is there? Its got gorilla glass, curved edges to protect the screen, solid unibody construction, and nice soft touch coating on the back to help with slipage.
Device(s): Listing my phone here seems to only make a new phone purchase come sooner.

Because one drop will scratch the ____ out of that wonderful metal case.
I saw the options available at TMobile, went with the gel skin which I typically NEVER choose, but I wish I could have gotten the grey Body Glove slider case. Couldn't get that one because I don't think I would have been able to get the phone out of it. What a shame.
My Wife is a "dropper" lol... I always get her a case, screen protector, and carrying case. Usually spares the phone for a few months at least hehe...
Me on the other hand? I have never dropped my phone. I have a screen protector and a cloth pouch, but only because I'm paranoid. lol

Yeah its definitely a nice looking phone, just wanna keep it that way for awhile.. prolly just use the screen protector and be extra careful for a bit though.
I read what seemed like a good point earlier: if you don't drop your phone don't stress about getting a case unless you want to get one for style. In two years I've had a cell phone now, never dropped it once. also the screen is covered in gorilla glass, the best there is. I'm gonna pick mine up tomorrow and just get the clear plastic screen cover, then see how I feel about getting a case by the weekend.
I like those TPU gel case. I have been using them on Nexus One, My touch 4G, G2x, and even xoom. They are snug fit, won't make the device bulky.
I will still get a case . Accident is accident. You never drop your phone b4 doesn't mean you won't drop it one day accidentally. Since the front gorilla glass is scratch free, with the back and edge wrapped around, the phone is protected.
I also found out the plastic edge makes the device easier to lean on anything for different viewing angles.
The clear one came in today. Its a two piece cover.. It is see through so you still see the design of the phone but it also helps the phone fEel hella solid. I like it

The Gorilla Glass on my Defy has (4) scratches, simply from carrying it in my pocket w/my E72...no drops. If scratches are a concern, I suggest a screen cover. But FWIW, I went w/Body Glove again (Motorola Q) mainly for the kickstand.
Does anyone know which of the cases on dealextreme.com might work?
I'd love to keep the phone case-free but it's really slippery to me and in my tiny hands it's doubly hard to hold securely while trying to use it. However, I can confirm that it's very sturdy. After having watched it bounce and slide down six concrete steps of an office building, there's not a scratch on it and it still seems to be working fine. :P *sigh*

It was only $4 for 5 so they are probably cheaper quality than I would like. I previously liked the screen protectors from innopocket, but I don't think they make an for the sensation.

I could not find anything for the sensation there.
I bought a CaseMate Tough Case for "Candice". I've attached a few pics. It feels great and seems like it will really protect her if I drop her. Check it out!

I was personally looking for the cases that had an opening (hole) where the different antenna holes are on the back of the phone. Should I even care about that? Because all I can find is this case Mobi Products Skin Case for HTC Sensation - Android Skin Cases - Paranoid Androids and like the T-Mobile brand rubberized case, it fits too loose. Any way to "tighten" these rubberized cases up, maybe microwave, boiling it, etc.? Or maybe I just get one of these Case Mates and don't worry about covering the holes on the back of the phone??
I went to the Ghost Armor kiosk in one of our mall's today. And I had them put on a screen protector and a Carbon Fiber cover on the rest of the phone. It now looks fantastic! The Carbon Fiber covering on the back is in three sections and covers the back perfectly. The vent holes on the back are matched up good.

how much did it cost?
does it have any "cushion"? so it can absorb a fall?
No, there is no cushion. It just protects the back and sides from scratches and dings. I also have GA on my EVO (from top to bottom).
Another thing is it makes the phone look fantastic! The Carbon Fiber covering cost $15 and GA screen protector was also $15. GA has a lifetime warranty and a 30 return policy on it.

That looks really nice. They have a location close to me and I may have to go check it out today!
I have the rubber case from T-Mobile... At first, it was good but now that heat is getting to it, I feel it becoming more stretchy... Im looking at the casemate now. I had the case mate on my Nexus One so I know that its a high quality case
So I did go and check out the Ghost Armor for the Sensation. I was very tempted because it does look really cool in the carbon fiber black...but for now I feel more comfortable with some protection on the phone.
I've had the CaseMate "Barely There" case for a few days now and have to say I'm pretty happy with it so far. I know that it's not going to provide the best protection in the event that I drop it but it will provide some. It adds little to no bulk to the phone and will protect it if dropped on the back or side. If you drop the phone face down it probably won't help much. Let's just hope I never have to find out!

I received my EZGuard screen protectors and they are very much like the skins/screen protectors you get from bestskinever or Zagg. I would not recommend them to other people though as it seems like it takes away from the sensitivity of the touchscreen. I am going to keep mine on until I see something better come along.
EDIT: I also want to note that it is a bit small for the Sensation 4G as there is about 2mm of unprotected space on the bottom and 1 mm of unprotected space at the top.

I don't know about taking it off I never have had to. I still have my EVO and I had GA installed on launch day and it's still on it. The EVO's GA is still in excellent condition after a year or more.

Seidio will have theirs real soon as their website now shows two of their flagship products for the Sensation. I really like their surface cases for simply style, and use their active products for protection while in the field.
I used to always use Seidio cases for my blackberrys and thought they weren't going to make any for the sensation. They're kind of late to the game this time.
why does everyone think this phone has gorilla glass? It does not. If it did, I'd get a rubber case and call it good, like I did for my Vibrant ( without a scratch) but these phones do not have GG.
According to Corning maker of of Gorilla Glass the S4G does have Gorilla Class. At least it's on their list of HTC phones with it. But still I had a Ghost armor sceen protector put on it.

I stand corrected. Quite gladly. Considering I always went naked on my Vibrant and never got a scratch, it begs the question of whether this device will withstand the same abuse sans screen protector....
As far as screen protectors go I purchased the one at the T-mo store when I purchased my Sensation since I had heard stories of people getting scratches on thier screen even while being carefull with them. The guy at the T-mo store showed me some permanent light scratches on his screen even only being 1 week old. He claimed he only put his phone in an empty pocket with nothing else & was sure how he manged to get the scratches. He installed the screen protector & it fits nice, extremely clear, smooth touch. You really cant tell one is on there. It doesnt cover the entire screen, it lays just inside the edges where it contours upwards towards the edges. Its so thin you really dont notice it at all. I feel really secure knowing its on there....just some foof for thought!
It got some decent reviews. Im sure it will stretch out in time like mose of the silicone style cases, but till then, Ill be protected! Ive dropped my Vibrant about 5 times in the year I owned my Vibrant & the case I had on since day 1 it protected it every time. I have this habit of laying my phone on my lap while driving & forgetting about it, opening the door to get out & watching it fall to the ground....want that protection for my Sensation!
I picked up a black gel case, Bell brandnamed but im sure it has other names depending on who sells it. It really adds to the dimensions of the phone, most noticed when putting or taking it out of your pocket. For the job site it is ideal. Ill be looking into a nice "going out" case for the not so harmfull enviroments lol. The armor 3 pieces case posted above looks dang nice, may get myself one of those too. I picked up the EZ screen protector also and had them instal it for me. It does add a different texture to the screen but i have not found it to inpede with touch contact to the screen. The add protection/piece of mind is worth it imo.
