SERIOUS DATA USAGE PROBLEM when CHECKING FOR EMAIL!!!!!!
I have a SERIOUS problem on my phone that NO ONE (HTC, Bell Canada, Nor the Telus (my Email server) will help me. All they do is pass it off to the other person to blame.. I'm stuck in a loop and this is costing me SERIOUS MONEY!!!
The problem: As of Jan 2nd, without reason... The MOMENT my htc sensation 4g connects to my email server to check if I have any email, my "SENT MB" STARTS CLIMBING.. It is NOT uncommon for it to use 300-500MEGS PER CHECK!
I MAXED out of my 1 GIG plan in 2 days! The first day it took 500 megs, the next day it took the last 500 megs.. Now I am being charged every single day at $0.05/MB and it used 300megs the last time it checked for email.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!?
I Took a VIDEO to show you all what is going on!! So not to be charged MORE for this video, I have it on WIFI.
What you will see if me clicking to REFRESH the email page to check for mail.
Then you see me go into 3G WatchDog (records your Data and notifies you if you are using too much), and then you see in the SENT column the MB just magically CLIMBS while the RECEIVED remains unmoved!!!
I then show you that it's STILL checking for email (shows the rotating arrows). I then go into my Data Usage on the phone and you see that from Jan 1 - 6th the MAIL has sent out 1.51GIGS!!! And Internet is only 30MEGS!
