How to fix screen jittering/going crazy

The thing is this has occurred in two completely different phones, as when using the first the LCD screen cracked and i had to send it off to be replaced, which was then returned with a broken speaker, so they have sent me back a new phone which has been coming up with the above problems again.
Do you guys have any advice/help you can give me please?
Thanks.

Hi I had the same problem with my brand new HTC also. I'm not sure what the issue is exactly but I do know how to stop it indefinitely. It's the simplest thing in the world which I seemed to stumble upon....a screen protector. Now I had the cheap ones (which leave bubbles) - I don't recommend them. They come off when the phone is in your pocket.
Today I just bought a military made screen protector from carphone warehouse (and I am sure you can get them online) - I can't post the link yet but it's www dot zagg dot com - They are made for loads of devices and actually, the universal size one is the exact right size for the HTC XL. It will stop your screen doing the annoying thing and even though they can fit it for you, it's easy enough to do yourself (and they charge £7.99) to do it for you. This also has a 25 yr warranty and will NOT fall off ever. It comes with a back too but you probably don't need that as it only stops scratches and is more for shinier exteriors. You can buy rubber cases online for cheap enough if you want one
