Hi everyone,

I've recently bought the HTC Sensation and it's an awesome phone except for a couple of little issues..

One of which is really bothering me and it is the following. The navigation application starts unwanted and in unexpected situations. Just for no reason. So I thought it might be because it's tracking my phone or something and turned of phone finder but that didn't help.

I'm wondering if anyone experienced something similar with their phone and how it might be resolved. Also if you'd like more information just ask.

What navigation app are you referring to? Google maps? Google Nav? Or HTC's own app Locations? Maybe something has not been closed properly and is running in the background. First thing to do is to power down the phone - long press on off button and chose power off. The switch back on again.

Or are you just referring to the GPS icon sometimes appearing on the top bar of the phone? That is normal if you have background apps that need to check where you are every so often.

It says "location services" when it pops up. In running apps the only service I can see which might need locations is google maps but I can't stop the service without it restarting automatically..

When it pops up it always asks me to turn on the GPS and it gives me the options "settings" and "cancel" but when I choose cancel it just goes away fir a split second before popping up again..

That is HTC's Locations app - nothing to do with google maps. Don't know why that is happening. Have you tried power down yet?

Try menu > applications > manage applications > all. Then find Locations and try Clear Data then Force stop. Same with Locations Launcher if that doesn't work.

Cleared the data for both apps, don't know yet if it works because it happens sporadically. Thanks for this solution, I'll let you know if it didn't work.
