Just updated this afternoon. Checked my galleries, music as a result of your post and mine are al there.
After the update, i have closed and rebooted my Sensation about 5/6 times now because of other issues I've tried to clear - Calendar pad Pro, Go locker - and maybe that has made sure everything has copied across.

On reboot, I do keep getting the message that Android is updating and in my case it always counts down to 39 Apps. Doesn't say which ones.

Maybe a couple of extra reboots solves some problems. I also find that after a reboot it does take about a minute or so for all of the Apps on my different Home screens (9) to load up. That includes widgets.

Glad to help out, it's usually me asking the questions .
I think the best (and simplest) advice I was given on here, was if at first it doesn't work, reboot a couple of times.

Just close down using the power button and then restart again. I did it 2/3 times on mine and it appears to have cleared the problems i was having - except the volume button thing.

Hi Jaybo,

So far so good, no problems after the restarts. All my music, pics and videos are all there.
I have about 5 different camera apps, camcorder, camera, papercamera, camera 360, camera zoom fx. They all have their own pics and I get to see them all in the Gallery App as well.
All the music and some ringtones I made are in the music app.

Also found an app - which I didn't know I had called Connected Media, and that lists all music, video and pics together.

Basically no problems since yesterday now, battery use seems to be little higher, dropped from 100% to 82% over 4 hours just in standby with no wifi, 3g, roaming etc. and only 2 short calls.

Mine seems to be ok again but I thought that earlier. Yeah connected media is great, it picks up my smart tv and I can stream my media to it.

Before the ICS update I hadn't any problems with the stock gallery to show me new imported pictures.

Now I have to use the 'SDrescan' app before I can see the new pictures in the stock gallery. Or I have to reboot the phone.

You might also try 'SDrescan' when pictures and music are disappearing in the gallery

They don't really disappear, with a file manager you'll find them. Or you'll find the pictures with that nice 'QickPic' gallery.

Default Can't get to my SMS...

Hi all! I've been having a similar problem after the upgrade - when I try and open my SMS it just says 'loading' and nothing happens... Pretty worried, I can't see any of the messages I've been sent since yesterday!

I've rebooted several times, but nothing has changed. Anyone got any ideas? I'd really appreciate it!

I had a sort of similar problem.

Gmail accounts worked fine.
I had to reset my Yahoo email accounts again.
I use Handcent for sms and that was OK, no probs with that.

What was I on about? Must of been drunk when I typed this. You asked about SMS not email.

This may be a separate issue to what mine was as the SMS is not linked to the SD card

I upgraded to ICS last Monday, and I wish I'd waited. The new firmware seems very buggy

Everytime I reboot it takes an age as it has to go through some pointless "upgrading applications" cycle that's been mentioned by a lot of people on here

Google Play regularly times out before recognising the installed apps, and when it does work, the phone now stalls on updating apps - whether on 3g or wi-fi

Can't say I've noticed any improvement in the last 6 days - in fact the HTC ICS upgrade actually seems to de a significant downgrade in the usability of the phone

All in all, a pretty crap experience!

Mine is fine after the initial problems. I can't really compare to gb as I had only been using it for a week. I had been on froyo with the desire for 18 months before that. Compared lo froyo, it is fantastic.

I still don't know what USB storage app is. I assume it is the SD card though

Hi Jaybo,

Was looking at your other post about this and giving it a bit of thought.
Pure guess here mind.

Could it be just a renaming of the SD card? I wonder because when I connect the phone via USB cable to my Mac, I get the phone showing up as another external drive.
When I look at the contents I can see SD card and everything on there, but as far as I know, I don't get to see anything that is on the phones memory.
Someone please tell me if I can get to see the phones memory!!

Just a thought as to why the change in name or whatever.

I think it does go to SD, I checked via pc. Odd how SD is still in the list though. Some apps still go there

I know this if off topic but, does anyone know where I can find "Unknown sources" on the new update. ( So you can download Apps from other sites, besides Andoid Market.)
I can not find it on Security.

[QUOTE=jaybo1973;4193314]I think it does go to SD, I checked via pc. Odd how SD is still in the list though. Some apps still go there[/QUOTE

An example:

App info

World of goo

Total. 34.48mb
App. 412kb
USB storage app 31.52mb
Data. 2.56mb
SD card. 0.00mb

It appears that there is nothing on SD even though the app has been moved. Most of the app has moved to USB storage app, whatever that is?

Default more issues after update to ics

Hi everyone, I just upgraded to ics this last week and since then my headphone socket seems to have stopped working sound only comes out of speaker, this happens with all apps and music and video players, also when using any video player when I turn the phone over to full screen the display dims very low but brightens when I turn it back to normal view, any help or hints would be great. Many thanks.

Hey I've also had this exact same issue and when I click on the messages app it just says please wait and never opens. Has anyone found a solution for this? If anyone has they'd be a life saver!
