Facebook app not working on HTC Sensation

For the past couple of days the Facebook app has stopped working.
When I try to access it, it just sits there with the load symbol
spinning and never displays the wall. (as seen below)

I am also having the same problem with it de-syncing my
contacts as per the below thread:

Facebook keeps unsyncing/de-linking from contacts

Is anyone else having the same two problems as above?

If so has anyone managed to find a way to cure them?

FYI.

My phone is: HTC Sensation (not rooted) with ICS.

uninstall the updates, I did and mine is ok now.

I uninstalled mine aswell and it`s working fine...I think it was 1.9.8 version that had trouble so they have released version 1.9.9 and people are still having problems...I uninstalled the update and am currently on version 1.9.1 and it works fine...I`m not updating until i see on Google Play that people are happy with it...My phone is: HTC Sensation (not rooted) with ICS.
