Default Change Home-Screen on HTC regular method not working.

So my girlfriend has a HTC Sensation from Crazy Johns (An Australian provider) with The default HTC ice cream sandwich ROM. Annoyingly there are a couple of problems but one of the most annoying is that the Default Home Screen seems to change to other Home Screens. Now it doesn't do this very often but the regular method of changing the home-screen (Going into the helicopter view and holding and dragging the screen around) doesn't change the Home-Screen because the default home screen selection (indicated by a green outline) just moves around as well.

Has anyone else run into this problem.

Just in case anyone knows the other major problem is that sometimes the screen doesn't turn on with the unlock button pushed. The button lights turn on so something happens but you have to press the unlock button twice more to actually get it to unlock, anyone know why this is happening?
