DNS Setup

Can some one please help me on how to set up DNS server on Tattoo as I desparately need skyscape softwares for which I have come across a hack which requires DNS server setting up.

if you have a wifi connection, you have to go in the settings menu and highlight the network you are connected to.
Press menu button to access the advanced setting such as the DNS

Can you eloborate on that because this is what I have been doing;(I have netgear wireless router by the way)I go to wireless setting & then select advance option & then got my ip address ,DNS server etc for my Laptop through ipconfig/all on CMD & put these values in static ip options but for some reason DNS server doesn't work?

just a hint:
is the web browser working with your settings ?

If yes it is something related to the specific application that it's wrong
