Default poor signal strength

Hi there,

can anyone help or shed any light on this?

I have just got hold of a Tattoo on the Vodafone network and i am finding that at times the signal strength is very poor.

I am finding that in places i used my previous phone and had a good signal that the signal is dropping out or there is no signal at all.

This is very frustrating as whats the point in having a decent phone and not being able to use it?

Normally the Vodafone network signal is very good.

Has anyone else had this problem, is it specific to the phone?

Hi ymaw. Welcome to the forum. I don't have a problem with signal on my phone, it could be that you have a small problem with it. Go back to the store, and check if another phone (same model) has the same signal. If your is weaker, change the phone. Cheers

hmmmm - I seem to be having problems when the signal switches from 3g to gprs - the signal tends to drop out before switching - its a bit of a pain but ive learnt to live with it

This sounds a lot like this problem:

Issue 2845 - android - After Losing Signal Phone Doesn't Try To Reacquire it - Project Hosting on Google Code

There are some workarounds in that link.
