I have been instructed by a downloaded app to go to settings/notifications and change the sms setting. However when I go to settings I cannot find anything like that and I have clicked on each setting. I am trying to NOT DUPLICATE message notifications coming in.
Thanks in advance....

If you need to turn off stock message notifications, go to Messages -- Menu button -- Settings -- Uncheck "Received notification."
