Question Motospeak and the H17

I am new to all this Droid stuff so please bear with me...i have a Thunderbold and they(Verizon) also sold me the H17 bluetooth. I downloaded the MotoSpeak but it wont let me reply to any incomming text. It also does not announce the name of the person..do i have to get the H17txt for all the options i want?
