Default Need App Recommendation :)

Hello all,

I am looking for an app that I can use to lock/password-protect certain photos and videos... or, at least put them in their own folder (separate from other photos and videos) and lock/password-protect that.

Is there a good, simple app that is better than the rest? Thank you for any help

There are a few options (but I only can recall two off the top of my head):

Tasker will encrypt/decrypt files based on whatever pretexts you tell it to wait for.

If you do not need password protection, put a file named .nomedia (the . is correct) in the folder. It will hide that folder from all applications scanning for media. It will not hide it from the likes of a file manager.

There is another option that does exactly what you want. IIRC it is ~$2, but I forget its name. Something like media lock or picture lock. Search in the market and I am sure something will pop up. Alternatively, look at the amazon app store free app of the day list for the past month. It has been offered there.

Search market for "hide it pro". First app listed is "audio manager" by anuj tunani. It's a file hiding app that's disguised as an audio manager. Works very well. Think it might be what you're looking for.

Hide it Pro takes photos and videos out of the gallery. App icon shows up in app drawer as Audio Manager. Long press on icon of Audio Manager one opened presents user with password entry. Even takes photos out of file manager. You can hide or unhide photos/ videos.
