1620 mAh Vigor battery in the Bolt

Well I finally broke down and threw the HTC Vigor battery that I had into the Thunderbolt. I figured I could get an idea of how long the battery life would last in a single core LTE device since I'm about 99% sure that once the Vigor comes out I'm dumping the Bolt.

For those keeping score, the Vigor's battery is a 1620 mAh battery where the Bolt's is 1400 mAh. I popped in the Vigor's battery at around 1:45pm with a full charge (even though it sat around untouched for a week without a charge, and even sat in my pocket for about 3 hours during a computer project where I was working up a sweat moving around computer equipment). 4 hours later I'm seeing about 50% battery life left.

Before you think the battery life seemed like garbage, I will say that I have 3 push email accounts (every 15 minutes) one of which is an Exchange account that pushes immediately, I was on the phone with Verizon Wireless for about 70 minutes, I wirelessly tethered for about 30 minutes, and I gamed for about 45 minutes, and I was on LTE the whole time. I'd say 8-9 hours of general use should be no problem with the 1620 mAh battery going forward. I'm hoping that the Vigor/Rezound/Thunderbolt 2 will benefit even more from the 1620 mAh battery due to dual core and some hopeful HTC tweaks that they learned from all the complaints regarding the Bolt's poor battery performance.

If you're considering a larger battery and/or the Vigor/Rezound/TB2 when it comes out then you should really consider getting the 1620 mAh battery since it fits in the TB with its stock housing.

Just out of curiosity, were you using an OEM Vigor battery (if so how did you get it)? Also are you rooted?

One word of caution though, someone in the Vigor section claims that he tried putting a Thunderbolt battery into the Vigor (He didn't state how he got his hands on a Vigor btw....) and the Vigor threw up an error message. I'm guessing it may be because the battery was 1400 mAh but there's no telling. The battery I bought was from HTC so I figured it would be a little pricier than the other batteries (even though the package states it was made in China).

I bought these and they are trash. No bigger than the stock battery. I would say they are equal or less mah than stock 1400.
