Is there any way to get HTC Sense 3.0+ working on rooted devices without reflashing my phone to a custom rom? I only resort to custom roms when the phone becomes dead in the eyes of the official updates world, like my old D1. Any ideas? Or am I SOL?

only sense 2.1 is official for this phone.
if i were you,i would start flashing ROM's because IMO, this latest OTA will be the last one for this phone. even if it isn't you wont be getting 3.0 as HTC has stated it is not made for single core devices.
not really sure what you are asking, but sense 3.0 can only be had with a custom ROM for the time being and the foreseeable future.
