I tried searching for my issue, but did nto find anything similar.

I suppose its just a nuisance issue, but...

The problem I am having is that only some of my contacts appear when I open the contacts folder with "all" selected.

I cannot find the missing contacts in any of the group lists either, theyre just not to be found from the contacts folder.

I know that the contacts are in the phone because I can find them by pressing the phone button though.

To re-cap.
Picked up phone yesterday.
Entered some contacts manually around 5pm. (contacts appear in contacts folder)
Went out to play pool and arrive back home 10pm.
Enter many more contacts by same method as earlier (manually from the contacts folder)
None of the newly entered contacts appear in contacts folder, but can be found with the phone button.
I have tried to re-enter some contacts to no avail.

Hello dingle101. Welcome to Android Forums. You might try doing a hard reboot. Power down the phone, pull the battery out for a few, reinsert the battery, and power back up.
This will cause a longer boot up and will often clear nagging problems like you describe.
