Default 2.2 update for unbrnaded phons

When the wildfire gets its update where would I download the update, do I get it from HTC (who tell me its not coming out yeah right) or do I get from the carphonewarehouse where I bought the phone from and its factory unlocked

its on contract with tmobile but there is no operator boot screen and I am running a voda sim in it
