Default Unavailable apps for wildfire?

Trying to choose between the Desire and Wildfire this weekend, had my eye set on the wildfire, then I find out important/useful apps are unavailable/incompatible? I just don't want to get frustrated not being able to download any cool apps and wish I'd got the desire, even though it's twice as expensive!

thanks
