Default Need help with unlocked phone connecting to 3G

I recently purchased an unlocked HTC Wildfire. My carrier is T-Mobile. The phone will not connect to 3G. Can anyone help? Also it did not come the market app. Is there a way I can get that on my phone?
Thanks in advance
