Default HTC mini phone for large screens

So this is interesting. It looks like HTC is testing a new idea in the far east where you had a little sidekick phone to accompany your large screen phone to save battery.

Thoughts?

Idea is good. Don't think anyone would use it though.

Yep, nice idea (kinda), but I can't really see a use for it. I already carry about 2 phones and my tab in my bag, I don't need another device.

Does anybody have any idea what the part number is of the Mini Accessory that shipped with the Butterfly (in China only)? I've been searching around the internet and trying to utilize Google Translate quite a bit to find more information but I cannot find the specifics. It is proving to be a tough little accessory to find info on.

Have you considered this as an alternative:

Amazon.com: Motorola Bluetooth Smart Controller for Android - Bluetooth Headset - Retail Packaging - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories

WOOT has had this very item on sale many times recently, usually @ $25 & the latest sale was @ $20 new.

Definitely not as functional as what you're looking for, but,it is compatible w/just about any B/T-enabled ANDROID.
The phone call function works quite well, nice & clear for both caller & receiver.

Thanks to the recent Phandroid article I learned that this accessory is probably being expanded to non-China markets now? It is on HTC's global page (UK/EU etc.): Shown as the HTC Mini+
Now to just wait and see if it is US bound, or has compatibility with US HTC software...? Maybe it will come with the One Max (T6)?

Possible Part Numbers via Clove UK?
